What did you use as a food source for the bacteria during the cycling process?

Great question, Seth! By using Livesand, you immediately jumpstart the cycle and introduce the beneficial bacteria to start colonizing the rocks and filtration media. While using a food source is another method, I find that it spikes the ammonia in a Nano Tank faster and much more than I am comfortable with.
