To be honest, as coaches were constantly in and out of works repairs and since the actual teak itself was so susceptive to the elements, in the real world, very rarely were the lners coaches ever all the same exact shade anyways so in a way you've accidentally captured reality perfectly

What did you use to improve the teak effect . Because it looks very good especially as the price that Hornby a charging for coaches

Hi Look for a video by Aidans Railways.It shows how to get the desired effect. That's where I got the idea from. The paint used was Citadel colours Seraphim.
