I came here looking for a tutorial on adding location data to my photos in LR. You did it perfectly...thanks!!! But I also immediately laughed when I saw your 1000 acres filename and the map labels. Hello as well from PDX! 🤣

THANK YOU! I’ve been looking for days how to reliably add geolocation data to the photos without using a smartphone with Bluetooth. But that gpx file in Lightroom was exactly what I needed

Great video. From an accuracy and energy consumption perspective, what would recommend unsing a dedicated app such as Canon Camera Connect or a separate tracker? Thanks, Stefano

This worked a charm except for one issue that users should be aware of. The time that is stored in the gpx file is UTC, NOT the local time at your location. Because of this, you should make sure that you have your camera correctly set for both Daylight Savings time and the time it shows on the clock. If you take pictures with the time matching your logging device but your daylight savings time switch wrong (eg turned off in the summer), your log and your camera will be off by 1 hour. I have two days worth of photos with this error. I think this is fixable but I haven't done it yet and I expect it to take some hoops to jump through.
