Love these videos too. Started Cuban Salsa classes in Gourock, Inverclyde with Paul, at Buddies Salsa. Always good to practise your footwork.

I'm glad you started a specific video on this--those subtleties of the count and crossing over at an arc, as you explained, are critical in making this move as smooth as possible. Miles gracias, hermano!

OMG thank you so much for this. I was literally practicing the whole sequence 2 days ago with a friend and the amount of time we rewind the clip was insane haha. Thanks Steven! 💚

Awesome! If there's other combos you liked from class, put a link and we can go over them on a Wednesday!

Superb! Thank you so much! I've only been dancing for a few months! These movements can be used to build a full-fledged dance, instead of using an annoying guaperea! 😺

the crossing step is called "cruzado".. doing it with a partner might be called "Enroscala" by some (whatever that means?!)

🙏 Enrosca is wind/wrap her

just looking up Enrosca you'll find a slew of different turns and walks that in some place or another are called Enrosca.. so it might be wrong.. I found Enrosca used for the cruzado-dezpalciamento in a video by Havana club, Tel Aviv. Their lead instructor, Moti Sabag is an amazing dancer with undeniable experience, so I took this for reference.

@@MessinaDance For the "forward and back" my instructor, Nick Van Eyck, calls it "Son Montuno", and that's what I call it when I teach as well...
