Adding Sound to the Class 251 "Blue Pullman"

Hi Geoff. Thanks for the heads-up on fitting sound to this model. I too will probably go with sound on the driving car only. I made a note of how you did this for the GWR 800 IET - though I have yet to try this modification. Fingers crossed on both models!

Lovely model and the sound on these are great. Via You choos I did the pair of sound decoders one for each power car, the delayed start up sound is lovely.. Nice video Geoff!! hope you and the family are well.,

thanks Alan , yes I'm very tempted to install another sound decoder now at the other end . however I've been asked to do a few installs . as its a quick job I've agreed and ordered the speakers and decoders - another job lol

Really interested to see this Geoff. I keep thinking about installing sound in my Pullman. I suspect Youchoos are going to have a run on sound decoders now. Stephen

Great install Geoff, as you said its quite a simple process on these. Sound does make a world of difference. Was a bit nervous for you with a different decoder (albeit both zimo) as that can sometimes be enough to mismatch the speed. All seems good, nice one!

thanks John . I did a speed test and set a Speed table for each power car and then set them as a consist so the speed match's . phew

hi , about £135 . the decoder was £123 , speaker was £7 and about £5 for shipping . let me know if you get one . i might get another for the other end
