Good to see the family back home safely.. Wow.. 😀.. The developments in Addis Ababa and in Ethiopia in general are captivating to me.. As a keen follower of everything Ethiopian, I see this often via one Ethiopia-based vlogger and friends as well as your content .. There must be more to this than just ensuring a bigger, and better pie of the tourism sector. Travelling, in my experience comes with having these nasty surprises, here on the continent and abroad in my experience where I have been once (Hong Kong).. It is part of the game.. Good that you stayed calm..

yeah, those annoying and unannounced rules of airlines which are constantly changing are happening in other countries too. mostly when governments panic, they make such rules at a point of entry. you must be aware of them before you plan to travel. call the airport and find out if there are new rules that might affect you 'cause they don't care to delay your flight if you don't know.

Yeah. there is no left turn island in most parts. I've been shouting and commenting on government forums that those generous gardens in the middle of the road will someday become a nightmare for drivers. Not just only in the summit-CMC neighborhood but elsewhere too. Once you started driving in Addis I bet you'll feel the agony of not finding a left turn. You've to drive until you find one and then must U-turn. or have to drive on until you find a roundabout. Sigh. I heard a rumor the city plans to put the light train underground. We know for sure Abiy is not a big fan of the tram since it congests the traffic and is ineffective in reducing the shortage of transportation. He said something must be done but didn't specify what the city planned. It was built on commercial loan and the government struggled to pay the debt. The spare parts are expensive and when a tram breaks down, it can take some time to repair.
@princesslivingfree9 күн бұрын
