VIDEO GEAR
DSLR - amzn.to/2DUWd5j
DRONE - amzn.to/2BS1Nnm
Our best camera is the Canon Vixia HF G30. It is more expensive than the newer models so if you're looking for a mid-level Video Camera I would get the newest model which is here amzn.to/3htJvJE
The mic goes on the G30 and is here amzn.to/3hmMDqr
We used a Canon Vixia HF R600. The 800 is even better and here is the link amzn.to/3iAnFo5
ABOUT ADDISON RANCH
Addison Ranch is family owned and operated by Brett and Lisa Addison. They have been involved in agriculture for over 25 years. They keep busy with a native-wildlife hunting business, cattle, goats and raising as much of their own food as possible. Their goal is to work in sync with nature and without the use of chemicals as they manage the land and animals while promoting a healthy lifestyle. They provide tips and techniques on ranching, hunting, gardening and healthy living to help anyone who is like-minded achieve the same goals.

Thanks😁. You’re 100% right we can all learn from each other even though there is nobody that manages exactly like yourself.

I always thought it must be so easy keeping goats this natural way. Now I see the trouble that comes with it, not to mention the stress. Good luck!

Yes there really isn’t an “easy way” to manage them. All methods take labor and money. You just try to make a little money at the end😁

I gotta herd two terriers when they are focused on rabbits or cats or random noises. I sure use bad words

Amazing just watching and understanding nature. In some respects then act like people.

Thanks for this. I had same problem. Goats just don’t move like cattle. I’m thinking to maybe just set stock in a paddock during kidding season. And I’ll take the extra expense to feed.

Depending on conditions maybe parasite issues later based on exposure during set stock time, maybe an expense also. This is why I like this community. Others have some good ideas also. The strip grazing is a nice solution with a back fence once they all move. However, I know that would be tough in your area.

How long do you leave them on a paddock before you need to move them for parasite control?
@addisonranch
@addisonranch 3 ай бұрын
That’s a very difficult question that depends on a lot of variables that relate to exposing the goats to the parasite. Anywhere from a day to around 7 for me and my area and typical weather.

@@addisonranch I'm struggling to find the right balance between parasite control, stress when moving babies, and labor. We're running 3 strands of polywire with close post spacing. That gets tedious through the brush
@addisonranch
@addisonranch 3 ай бұрын
@@scottroyer8956 yes it would. I’m assuming you’ve tried 2 strands and it didn’t work for you? I think I’ve got over the hump on the kids issues….thank goodness. Age on the kids helps BIG TIME!!
