All the police do in the train station is stand around on their phones drinking Starbucks laughing amongst themselves what a joke

What else are they supposed to do if nothing is happening? Stare menacingly at the public? The point is to deter crime and it definitely does.

now the subways are "safer" but the streets still the same

Waste more money by putting more cops on the subway so the criminals just commit the crimes where the cops are not. At least it's over time for the officers.

It's not going to stop anything at all. If someone is going to commit something on a train, they would just move to a different car away from them. They need to get the homeless off of the subway stations and trains. They are dangerous. It would also be more progressive if they put plain clothes officers on instead of uniformed ones.

You need to change bail reform laws, while I agree that bail shouldn't be used as a punishment against folks that have been accused of a crime (this only favors the rich) but judges should be allow to see prior criminal offenses and keep people in custody for the welfare of the city. It should be on a select basis for reoccurring offenses.

Atleast they're cops in the subways now. But imagine paying for spikes only for it to fail.

The metro agents were forced to leave the kiosks. These people will help the police.

Malcolm X - “if the black man was not so eager to surrender his gun and submit to the gun laws of the liberals, then many of the atrocities perpetuated against the black man would not have occurred.” X - “I much prefer to stand shoulder to shoulder with an armed man who is honest rather than an unarmed Liberal who lies.” X - “Concerning nonviolence, it is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself when he is the constant victim of brutal attacks.” X - “Self-defense, since self-preservation is the first law of nature, we assert the right to self-defense. The Constitution of the United States of America clearly affirms the right of every American Citizen to bear arms. And as Americans we will not give up a single right guaranteed under the Constitution. The history of unpunished violence against our people clearly indicates that we must be prepared to defend ourselves or we will continue to be a defenseless people.” X - “A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.” The black man, a political football, in this game of deceiving, and using the black man, the Liberals have complete cooperation of the black civil rights leader, who sell our people out for a few crumbs of token recognition, token gains, token progress. Malcolm X
