Addressing disrespectful behavior from bar members towards women judges is crucial for encouragement

At the #InclusiveJustice Symposium, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah called for systemic reforms to create an inclusive judiciary. He spoke about the following important issues:
1. We need a Judicial Service Act for systemic empowerment.
2. Policies must include women’s perspectives.
3. Improve court facilities for women.
4. Better support systems for women judges.

Just like a provinces are divided into districts, District judiciary of a province could be clubbed into regions, most senior D&S judge be the regional head. Frequent meetings of regional heads to discuss issues and find solutions and aslo be focal point for high courts and SC.

Apparently the judge wants a one window operation. He wants to call one man and have the job done. Quite a dictatorial thinking, if you think about it.

The legislature's reluctance to regulate judicial work conditions likely stems from potential pushback from high courts. Who can guarantee that a High Court would not strike down such a law? Secondly, forming a judges' association sounds good in theory, but we've seen how every association in this country ultimately turns into a mob and then hijacked by the powerful. Lastly, Justice Mansoor is set to become the CJP with a very long tenure. This presents a great opportunity for him to implement these reforms, especially considering his leadership roles in key judicial committees.
