It makes me sick to the core that greed is the main object for jlm , imagine if you bore a daughter and named her and she grew up to be the most creative bridal designer to walk the planet and a big greedy company came along and not only took her name away from her that her parent gave her but to try and destroy her as a human being for to stop her doing what she loves to do because she stood up for herself to a greedy company ,,,, shame on jlm and Murphy and anyone else who was involved , I hope the judge wipes the floor with these people , one of the 7 deadliest sins in the catholic bible greed , shame on them absolutely disgusting ,

@@marykelly9698 the theft sold the name to JLM and signed a contract. She knew what she was doing and paid handsomely for the effort. Only when she tried to steal JLM's property did she complain and now will be left with nothing as she cannot work for years (non-compete), cannot use the trade marks belonging to JLM, has next to no followers on her accounts and won't get a new show to launch a new company. JLM gets to keep pumping out dresses and benefits from syndication on the show as well as a popular social media account to sell more dresses.

This whole situation seems very strange. It seems that this corporate bully is acting in vengeance and totally against the Bill of Rights. Almost like they are trying to cover up something. I’m no lawyer, but, this just doesn’t seem right. I’m sure your attorneys are investigating every option. It just doesn’t seem it should be this much of a hateful process to be able to own yourself!! @@davidcavanaugh2150 their is if you want to look back at your contract and ask nicely to change somethings and in response you get sued with not counter or you have a contract that states you will be pay a % for 10 years but they back out because they think that would stop you from fighting back that's blackmail and underduress they backed her in a corner plus it run by a male owner let's see if he groomed anyone and blackmail anyone

This is just bogus! It’s one thing for them to be “looking out for their business” but it’s a whole other level when they’re messing with your livelihood and preventing you from supporting yourself apart from them. I feel like they dont want you to be able to use your name so that its difficult to find this information and lawsuit on you. Like with other KZbinrs names they come up in news stories and twitter and JLM doesn't want that for her because then the story will be known. You know what I mean?

She sold her name rights with the company so JLM owns it. Her contract also had a non-compete, which means she gets to not be paid by JLM and cannot go into a related industry for a period of time after JLM. When it expires, she can work again with a different brand name.

Well, we know your name, and we use it, even if they won't let you. Your designs are not my cup of tea, but I still believe 100% in the ability for you to keep doing what you love. You have a huge fan club of people that are crazy about your style, and there is a small but dedicated contingent of us who are following you and supporting you, not as fans, but because of the precedent this restriction sets for all designers. This is what gets me, too. On her next session, I hope she tells us that she's not homeless, not starving for food (tho' yes starving for her creative outlet ... as are we all!). Lovely dog, great hat. How the hell is is paying rent/mortgage? Food? Electricity? How can it possibly be legal for them to take away her livelihood. They want her to serve drinks in a bar?
