" You and I are not in a relationship. I care deeply about my fans, but *I don't know you* " This. This is something that has been needed to be stated. We all love Vox, as much as he loves us, maybe even more so, but there are boundaries that need to be set. Vox is a person too, and he needs to have his boundaries respected and honored. Vox deserves *so much* more respect than he is given, and it makes my blood boil. He's a person with feelings, emotions, priorities, etc. Respect that, and respect him.

Look guys. As an old school vtuber fan, I've seen this a lot over the years. Here's the thing. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a fantasy during the stream. Entertainers are there to give you a form of escapism from our real shitty lives. So enjoy the fantasy of RP or whatever during the stream. BUT, once the stream ends so too does the fantasy. Don't be an asshole to other people. If you have trouble escaping the fantasy you're trapped in. Seek help. Not here, not from the streamer, from actual professionals. Thank you.

YES! It’s completely normal to want or even need time to escape from reality for a little, taking joy from a streamers content is healthy and comfortable. Even feeling (a reasonable) amount of affection is totally valid, so long as you keep it in the back of your mind that when the stream ends your real life is waiting for you.

If you can't/won't watch the whole thing, here are the basics: 1. Reimu and Vox are okay, he apologizes for the misunderstanding he caused. He is NOT OKAY with the attacks that people sent to her and they need to stop immediately. 2. Do not become overly attached to Vox based on the unbalanced, parasocial relationship you have with him. He doesn't love YOU specifically, he loves his audience, his Kindreds as a whole. 3. Exerting some feeling of ownership over him and his content is inappropriate, and harassing other VTubers related to him is inappropriate. 4. Stop babying him, he's a fully-grown man who knows how to take care of himself. He held himself accountable as he should, stop trying to excuse his mistake.

Thank you for writing down the basics! I can't watch these types of videos since my trauma has me flinching and curling up at any type of confrontation even when it's not directed at me (like for this 'cause some Kindred really needed this reality check). Text is much less scary/fear inducing for me so thank you again ❤ I'm so glad this got addressed and he's owning up to it. I feel bad he has to apologize for this at all since it's not his own actions, but a foot being put down was needed and I'm glad he finally did and apologized for taking this long to do so. Here's to a healthier fanbase! (Hopefully)

@@khaotickiri8223 I wasn't there cuz I don't really watch his asmr streams, but he did one recently and apparently it was a date rp. Reimu was having a fnaf stream at the same time and texted Vox to ask a question. Vox answer the text (acting like it was a phonecall - classic interruption during a date scenario) and people got mad at her and were sending her death threats for interrupting. Vox didn't handle it the best (he said he could understand why people would be mad or smth along those lines) and that wasn't taken well either. Basically, he reflected and this stream was a statement about how he doesn't condone toxic behavior and that he is an entertainer and not a boyfriend/husband/daddy etc... to anyone online and people need to conduct themselves better. He apologized for his part in it too.

Sometimes, the best way to start healing is to rip off the band-aid. Vox, right here, right now, acted in a way that should be commended. Like Vox said, he is a grown man who can take care of himself. But, it wouldn't hurt for the Kindreds with our heads screwed on straight to help him out a bit. No man is an island. Let's just follow the rules, and get things back on track. And if you're wondering if this applies to you, or even if you think this doesn't apply to you, always think "Would I say this to a person in public, directly?" If the answer is "No", "Probably not" or "Maybe", then just don't.

*Patience is a virtue.* To everyone who aggressively attacked Vox and Reimu in a disrespectful way before and after this situation, keep in mind that your 'opinion' and 'comment' matters at some point, but if it's fueling something and it's not ACTUALLY helping--making it worse, then you need to stay on your lane first. Do not ruin someone's friendship and career just because you are mad or disappointed. Personally, I did not comment anything after the rp asmr stream and Minecraft stream because I trust these two. I chose to trust them first before judging them, I gave them a chance to settle it first. You are far from Vox's relationship to Reimu as well as Reimu's relationship to Vox. They are colleagues and best friends, stay on your lane and let them handle this first and then address it probably together and that's the time you should reflect like what Vox did right now, he took time to know and analyze this event (even the past ones) and now he's addressing this in a way that everyone deserves. He addressed this even though it's almost 3 AM, so do not give him the "sleep" and "take a rest" because the man's addressing this using his second chance as early as possible and if you don't wanna hear it, that's on you. Remember what Vox said: *"You and I are NOT in a relationship."* *"You need to view me as an ENTERTAINER."* *"We are NOT together."* *THANK YOU for this stream, Vox.* I also hope that Reimu is really okay, if she can also address this and make everyone know that it's already settled, she should, so some 'fans' would stop attacking each other oshi's. Instead of attacking these two because of what they did or said, we should put the 'fans' who flamed this misunderstanding in their own place first. I hope this won't happen again. More than 24k+ people have watched this stream and I think those people, we, should be enough to remind these aggressive and delusional fans to sit down and learn. To those 'fans' who commented and send awful messages, I hope you'd reflect and apologize to Reimu, Vox, and other co-fans that you might've hurt because of this misunderstanding.

You can definitely tell this was _way_ out of his comfort zone so it definitely made me pretty emotional and proud to see him do this stream anyway. It takes a lot to reconsider and reflect on your actions, to admit your wrongs, to take responsibility for them, and to apologize sincerely. It also takes maybe even more to confront thousands of people you don't know and call them out for something that doesn't sit right. Definitely says something about his character. Yes, we don't know him and it's still basically of course just watching funny internet anime man, but it's comforting to know we're supporting someone with integrity.

@@patch2932 the friend messaged him during a bf rp asmr. For a long time Vox had been cultivating gachikois (fans that are inlove with vtubers) bc his content is always "flirty" or downright sensual with his chat and he's stated in the past that he not only doesn't mind his chat being down bad or even in love with him, but that he actually likes it. So the result of his fans being so possessive to the point they started sending hate to Reimu for messaging him during his asmr stream (which his fans consider to be "private time" with Vox) is because of the type of fabase he molded. There's also been issues in the past with fans being rude to other vtubers, such as when his chat was begging Vox not to do an ASMR collab with Shoto when HE suggested it. And those moments Vox never properly addressed the issue and kept enabling this type of fan behaviour until now. He can't control everything his fans do, but the issue was how much he was enabling their toxic behaviour by sweeping a lot of it under the rug, so it's much better for him to put his foot down and stop a good amount of his fans from being toxic than not to do anything about it- bc he's already been doing that before and it was only getting worse.

Many people in chat said Vox don't need to apologize. NO! VOX DID NEED TO APOLOGIZE. Every streamer will have imperfections. Apologizing for this is a very correct and important action. Please don't give full positive encouragement all the time, it has the chance to mislead them and cause them to miss the opportunity to become better. I'd say "I forgive you, VOX(or Reimu)" instead of "You're not wrong, don't apologize" Something happens for sure for a reason. The way to support the streamer, or the way to establish a healthy relationship with people, is to strike a balance after thinking about each other's behavioral boundaries and moral standards, and then say whether you can forgive after thinking about these things. Don't give unconditional support!! VOX has done the right thing, and we as fans should also learn to judge right and wrong. In particular, whether you are an adult or not, you should understand that the inability to judge such a right or wrong is as terrible as the threat mentioned by VOX.

This is probably one of the handful of creators on the internet I've ever seen who actually take responsibility for their community and the actions of their "fans". Huge respect to Vox for taking things seriously and being stern, some people in this fandom really needed it. This could have definitely been an issue that could have just been brushed under the rug and would have turned into something extremely toxic over time, but Vox addressing it now has really nipped it in the bud early, proud of you Vox!

I'm further in the video, and just... mad respect for Vox. I'm so happy that not only did he take the time to address something difficult, but he also isn't going to give in and change what he likes to do with his streams as a result. As he said, it would be super unfair to punish the majority of his fans as a way to avoid people getting too attached to him. I also think even if he did, they'd just get attached in other ways.

You are currently the fastest growing and the largest numbers on EN, milord. This stream is very much needed, because by this you are not only helping yourself, but also your friends, family, and the healthy fans. I know that you had set boundaries previously, but soft, vague, and somehow enabling worst fans behaviors. It was all fell on deaf ears, and slowly lead to create issues and even more worst issue. Thank you for finally brave enough to firming the boundaries, for apologising, for defending your friends, and to listen to constructive criticism. As your numbers and fans grow even larger, you might need to remind these boundaries time to time (might be good in every milestone stream) especially I saw how many new fans Luxiem bring to the vtuber community. But from this we can also now work together, as the healthy fans and mods know how far we can do to warn the weird fans, knowing that you, as our streamer, got our back. You setting your foot down, and now start leading the whole community to the right path like a true king. So, don't be afraid vox, scolding or removing rotten apples are always needed, it brings actual justice to the fans who are actually behave and support you (and your friends) as entertainer, and safer place for you and your friends too. You did amazing, Vox.

This. I feel this way about fanbases so much. I CANNOT even begin to name literally every piece of media that I just stopped interacting with because the fanbase got out of control, and the creators in charge of those fanbases did a bad job at controlling their fanbases or there were no people who were acting responsible for the fanbase, and it was purely the fanbase encouraging each others' toxicity. Some notable examples are the Dream SMP, Roblox, Gacha Life, Black Butler, Attack on Titan, Hetalia, K-Pop industry, etc etc etc, that I eventually dumped because of the fanbase, and "parasocial relationships" is usually in the top 5 reasons for why I quit. This is literally the first time I've ever voiced this to anyone or to address these serious issues on the internet, because finally finding someone like Vox, a serious figure in a fandom that could potentially become toxic, to take responsibility for once, gave me hope for the first time in years.

I keep seeing chat babying him "This isn't your fault, you don't have to apologize" and stuff. No, it isn't exactly his fault. But, he have responsibilities for the community that he had created. He admitted it himself, that he turned a blind eye to the issue because he's too scared and powerless, where in fact, 782K people will mostly listened to him if he had addressed this issue.. I never want him to change his type of contents, because I know that's what he always wanted to do, and that's what made him happy. But, I had a very bad feeling since the first ASMR series started. He doesn't give disclaimers and doesn't state anything, and that what made those delulu kindreds starting to go wild. I regained my respect. See what I meant with my previous comment, where people won't leave him if he make a stand and put his feet down? I hope this kind of thing won't happen again, and thank you for being an adult and taking responsibilities of your community.

🚩🚩🚩!!!CONTEXT!!!🚩🚩🚩 [For why was this made? What happened in the last stream?] Some kindreds over stepped boundaries and were self entitled enough to send threats against Reimu because of a small interruption in one of his asmr streams. In his last Minecraft stream He addresses this, but he didn't SOLIDIFY boundaries while also not COMPLETELY putting his foot down. While this was being addressed last stream, some were also babying him and not really taking things seriously. Some were also pissed at him for allegedly downplaying the situation and getting annoyed for wanting this to be addressed. Because of how he addressed this, a lot were disappointed... A lot of kindreds left their opinions about it in his last stream.

Vox, I am one of the people who left a critical comment on your MC video so I hope this carries some weight and doesn't come across as blind praise. You did amazing. As you went down the list of things which needed to be addressed I was taken aback at how comprehensive it was, how direct you were, and how honest you were. You hit all the marks. This is something people needed to hear. Not just your fans, but any people who form unhealthy relationships with VTubers/streamers and harass others on their behalf. Even though it has come to a head in your community it's something which happens elsewhere in this space and has to be called out. I came into this stream somewhat apprehensive about how this would all be addressed and I've left feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I hope you feel the same way. (also that comment interrogating how a person could possibly feel like they were in a 1-on-1 stream with you when there were 16k other viewers--- beautiful)

REMINDER: VTUBERS ARE REAL PEOPLE WITH FEELINGS AND BOUNDARIES. RESPECT THEM, OBEY THEIR RULES. 1. Kindreds will NEVER have a personal nor romantic relationship with Vox. You are a stranger to him. 2. He is not in a romantic relationship with anyone you ship him with, so he is not cheating with anyone nor should he be with anyone you want him to date. 3. Sending death threats, hatred, insults, through superchats, tweets, and DMs is WRONG, DISGUSTING, HATEFUL, STUPID, AND DELUSIONAL OF YOU TO DO. 4. Stop flooding the chat with: "King, Daddy, slaying, drink water, it's okay, you should rest, you should eat, etc." He is trying to be serious, but you're flooding the chat with irrelevant nonsense. When he has streams or talks like this, STOP BABYING HIM. You are not his MOM, DAD, GIRLFRIEND, BOYFRIEND, HUSBAND, WIFE. You are a stranger who will never be with him. Let him talk, let chat tell him what he is doing and saying and behaving wrong. He is an adult not a baby nor child, he can make his own decisions and choices. 5. If you want to compliment him and thank him, do it here in the comments like everybody else. 6. HE IS AN ENTERTAINER AND YOU ARE PART OF AN/THE AUDIENCE. Nothing more, nothing less. Thank you Vox, personally, I enjoy your streams, but I am weak and softhearted, I cannot handle 18+ language nor content. It is not my cup of tea, but I do enjoy watching you when you have collabs with others. You are very funny and entertaining! I hope you update your rules, I hope you add more and always add disclaimers, I hope you also always add warnings for viewers who are younger than 18+ or viewers like me, who do not enjoy such type of content. May you only receive constructive critique, and only positive criticism and not hate and fire. Take care of yourself, your mental health, if you need therapy, go for it, since therapy is for everybody and not just those suffering with mental illnesses. Continue to take responsibility and action, do not avoid confrontations, and remember your responsibility as a celebrity with a big following. Take care and God bless you! Love you Vox! You can do much better from hereon out!
