Alright here is what myrtle actually is...the easy button. Her skill 1 is cheaper/faster to activate and had a better cycle. It gives you all the DP you need in your stages at the cost of them not blocking during skill, meaning its best to place them first and everyone else after. E2 myrtle is also good since she is a 4 star, making her upgrade cost cheap and it fully unlocks your support unit's making them all E2 as long as myrtle/a character is E2 in the squad. This also unlocks the 3rd skill for 6 star support units which are usually the strongest one, their module, and skill masteries which are extra levels, making the skill stronger than skill level 7.

Under Tides and Stultifera Navis both give a free 6* characters. Invitation to Wine gives Kroos alter who’s quite good, and Mansfield Break gives Robin who is pretty good too. The free OP is good but the characters will give you some good options.

Myrtle skill 1 is better cause it makes dp faster. Dont be fooled by skill 2 making more dp in one use, skill one has a shorter uptime and shorter cooldown so u can spam it way more than skill 2 (which u didnt even utilize the healing advantage)

you're evolving.. that was so close .. you did all that without a support unit talking about myrtle .. you can treat her as a drone from now on .. her E2 can allow her to heal vanguard by just standing next to them (without using any skill) .. don't worry about her dying because when you use her skill she blocks no one so you can use that for her safety (the red box in the top .. if you put Lapland on the left side of that red box facing that turret .. he can deal damage to it .. maybe put myrtle behind her to heal her .. if you manage to destroy that turret .. mountain can stay close to the chain to avoid taking the speed damage)

Sorry, just a correction. Myrtle's E2 passive regen is global and works on all vanguards as long as she's on the field. Lappland isn't a vanguard so, unless you use Myrtle S2, she won't get healed. Myrtle S2 generally isn't good anyways, so I'd personally just stick with her S1.

Kinda misleading about Myrtle, she can only heal fellow Vanguards globally, The ones that actually have Global Healing are: Perfumer, a 4* Medic and Angelina, a 6* Supporter.

So...EVERY side story has a free operator. It just depends on who you want. Undertides gives a 6* puller. Invitation to Wine gives kroos alter 5* Break the ice has a nice 5* caster who can freeze. Stultifera Navis gives a great 6* healer. Grani and the knights treasure gives grani, a better plume but youll get a better one once chp 14 comes out so you can wait on that. A walk in the dust has a 5* defender with an interesting s2 (making ops invis around her)

I would recommend unlocking "Stultifera Navis" intermezzi because you can get one of the best medics who is a welfare! And the second one you should use the token on is "Invitation to Wine". Also, you should E2 your Cutter because she's a nuker and one of the easiest high damage operators you have your hands on! Cheers, Clay!

The "Grani and the Knight's Treasure" side story is the easiest one to complete, but if you do the "Under Tides" story in the Intermezzi you can recruit Gladiia, who's arguably the best free 6* unit you can get right now, and you only need to gather 15 stars to get her (and 27 stars to immediately get her to max potential). Also, while I do think Myrtle is a decent choice to E2, you shouldn't default to her Skill 2. While you do get healing and a little more DP, the DP gain is almost effectively twice as slow as her Skill 1 and the healing she provides usually isn't worth the slower DP rate, especially if you need to set up your team quickly. It's also especially useless if you put her away from any potential healing targets.

The 2 tokens you have can be regenerated. You get one every week (on monday i think) so if you unlock 1 a week you can unlock all the side stories

Good side story welfare units are Kroos the Keen Glint from Invitation to Wine (Marksman Sniper like original) and Tequila from Dossoles Holiday (Liberator Guard). Tequila is one of the best 5 stars and has high DPS, but he’s from a special branch where he literally does nothing, doesn’t even block, until he uses his skill, then he gets 3 Block and AoE high physical DPS.

It does technically matter which unit you E2 since 6★ units get a third (usually more powerful) skill at E2. Mountain is an exemption because his second skill is considered his best.

He's far from the only one, Ascalon and Mizuki has better S2 than S3, while Typhon's S2 is better for general use compared to her S3 which is a dedicated boss killer. Some characters even have S1 that you want to use like Saria or Logos

Yeah it matters but you have to consider he is a early player and for a 6* you need a ton of exp, lmd. Upgrade the chips, unlock the recipes for tier 3 materials some time's, and for a 5* is almost the same

My first E2 was my favorite operator Flametail, and I do not regret it whatsoever. Her S3 and upgraded Talent 1 have been a big help for many early stages since she essentially shredded the enemies she came up against.

at around 3:00, keep in mind that the unit that you decide to E2 has to be in the squad so that you can grab E2 support units, so it does matter in the sense that it should be a unit that you'll use, that's why people usually recommend myrtle, not only she gets a lot better at DP printing when you get her Skill 1 masteries but she's a unit that will pretty much always be in your squad unless you get Ines

3 4 stars that you really should build are cutter (amazing 4 star laneholder), click (good 4 star arts dps and crowd control, also one of the few casters worth building), and jaye (great dps and survivability, can even heal in certain scenarios, just need to be careful about your dp)

As for which side story to do, I'd say Dossoles Holiday and Invitaton to Wine. Invitation to wine is a pretty challenging event though, so a good alternative would be Mansfield Break.

I would recommend Darknights Memoir from Intermezzi (next to side story) since it covers W's story and some important stuff that comes up later in the main story. If you don't know what to play, doing side story and Intermezzi events from top to bottom is usually the safest choice since the older events are at the top and newer ones are at the bottom. Intermezzi are events that are tied closely to the main story and side stories are events happening in other parts of terra with some connections to the main story. As for whether Myrtle is worth investing in right now, honestly operators like Texas, Scavenger, and Courier are better Vanguards for early accounts since they block 2 and do more damage than Myrtle. Myrtle is a DP printing machine but lacks in every other category. How good Myrtle is scales with how good your team is, and right now getting a few extra DP while sacrificing all your block and damage isn't a very good trade. I would recommend promoting a 4* you use frequently on your team. Cuora, Gummy, Perfumer, and any of the 4* Pioneer Vanguards are good choices for E2.

For the side stories and Intermezzi, you can do them as you please since you aren’t reading the story much. You have 2 unlocks right now, but get a new one every week or so. And once unlocked it’s there permanently so just pick whatever looks cool and you think might help. You can check the prizes and see if the free operator from the event would be to your taste or not

Almost all of the side stories have an operator you can get by doing about 4 or 5 levels Grani and the Knights' Treasure: Nets you Grani a Vanguard, she's a bit mid in her kit though (this was the first event after all) arguably better than plume though Heart of Surging Flame: Nets you Ceylon a Medic, she also happens to be a bit lackluster though she dose have extended range due to being of the therapist subclass Code of Brawl: Nets you Bison, a Defender, he's better than Beagle Twilight of Wolumonde: Nets you Folinic a regular medic though she has the distinction of having a skill that harms the enemy The Great Chief Returns: give you Tomimi a standard caster, though her skills are not all that useful (a melee caster anyone?) Maria Nearl: gives you Wishlash: a Instructor guard (like doberman), a some what lackluster class but she dose have range Mansfield Break: gives you Robin a Trapmaster specialist (aka alows you to lay mines) she's not to bad AFAIK Who is Real: Gives you Lava the Purgatory, who is Lava just a few years older and more capable, she is better than her 3* version Dossoles Holiday: Gives you Tequila who is a Liberator Guard (dose not attack unless skill is active, which is fairly strong actually) Near Light: gives you Wild Mane a Vanguard, she's a reasonable unit AFAIK Break the Ice: gives you Kjera a Mech-Accord Caster (basically a Drone user), shes fairly good from what I know (Click is the 4 star Variant) Invitation to Wine: Do you like Kroos? well here's she is bigger and better than before. A good choice. Guide Ahead: nets you Enforcer a Pusher (shaw's type) These are all the ones available, though you can get some others in the Intermezzi including a few six stars, still others can be found the archive section.

Go fight the big ass dragon that takes up literally half of the screen in "Invitation to Wine". And when I say it takes up half the screen... The boss literally takes up half of your screen.

I definitely advise running Under Tides side story, it gives you the 6* Gladiia. Really good puller specialist that has strong enough skills and talent to act as a guard and tank too, very versatile unit.

For the free units from side stories: Dossoles holiday: Tequila, good aoe damage with some downsides. Under Tides: Gladiia, 6 star that can perform about as well as s1 lappland while also pulling. Invitation to Wine: Kroos alter is the best non 6 star sniper. Just get her and enjoy. Other usable ops: Code of brawl: Bison is better Velma, Cuora sidegrade. Grani and knights: Grani is not terrible but very mid. Break the Ice: Kjera is an actually good caster, just powercrept by a lot of characters. Darknights memoir: Sideroca is uninpressive in combat but very decent (also, bring the measuring tape, she competes for biggest)

Ethan from the red certificate shop is also another free unit you can pickup who aoe binds enemies so that they cant move. Hes a 4* too so relatively cheap to upgrade. He falls under the same archetype as Ascalon, the featured operator for the Babel event, and events are usually tailored for their featured operator if there is one.

I'd recommend Under Tides & Stultifera Navis for welfares worth prioritizing, but regardless of which sidestory you choose just make sure you're spending those unlock tokens so you're not overcapping on the weekly token refreshes. As for who to E2, it makes sense to choose a low rarity for low costs cause like you said, the point is just to get access to E2 carries on the support list. I'm on team Myrtle as well though because she really will see that much longevity in basically all content. You want to keep her on skill 1 though fyi

So, for character recommendations to build, other than E2, Jaye is actually pretty good, same with Click. For side stories, I recommend Kroos the Keen Glint and maybe Robin, since she does have Bind on her S1, and (not sure if the Side Stories and Intermezzi share unlock things) I REALLY recommend doing Stultifera Navis, as Lumen is actually a great Welfare Operator.

Don’t use myrtle’s skill 2. Despite its looks, the extra 2 DP isn’t worth it as it has a 16 second skill duration which is twice as long than as her skill 1s 8 second skill duration making her skill 2 actually worse at generating DP. The healing from skill 2 is also pretty weak so its better to just use a regular medic

Promote _Ambriel_ - her range in E1 is ridiculous...and her Skill 2 is _global_ range, meaning she can shoot _anybody_ on the map. _Cutter_ can deal some major damage when fully built, but you're a long way from there. _Podenco_ works like Orchid, but her Skill 2 is a poison bomb. _Click_ doesn't look like she does much damage on paper, but her drone buddy doubles the damage she can do when promoted to E1. For a better version of her "Mecha Caster" subclass, unlock the Break The Ice Side Story to get _Kjera,_ who can also freeze enemies. _May_ is like Jessica, but she can slow enemies like Orchid. You have _Cliffheart_ and _Rope,_ but you can get a 6 🌟 of their subclass by unlocking Gladiia in the Under Tides Intermizzi. You can also unlock _Snowsant_ in Archives/Intelligence/Special Operations, using a few Memory Fragments purchased in the red certificate shop. (For that matter, you can unlock _Flamebringer_ and _Absinthe_ there, too.) You can also buy _Caper,_ a Sniper that throws Xena-style chakrams, _Ethan,_ an Ambusher like Ascalon, and _Breeze,_ a triple-healer Medic, in the red cert shop. And yeah, go for the upgraded Kroos in Invitation To Wine Side Story. (The story is also Ling's introduction, if you feel up to reading it.)

Gravel is meant to be deployed for a few seconds, tank a few hits and then retreated, this is a kind of mechanic that will help you A LOT in the long run I've also realized you're using Amiya's S2, it is an ato skill that will stun her when it ends, I personally like her S1 more, it allows you to control when to use it without the stun at the end

Under tides would be a very good choice. It gives the 6 star Gladiia. Despite being a puller, she’s actually also a decent lane holder that can be deployed on both ranged and melee tiles. She also has really good synergy with other members of her squad in end game, allowing her squad mates to regenerate large amounts of health per second. Next priority I would say would be Lumen from Stultifera Navis. He’s a six star healer that has a very good range that can help out early on. He’s not as good in endgame, but still ok

myrtle should always be at skill 1 except some situation like IS early stages, her skill on early deployment S1 produce 14 dp within 23 sec and her S2 while healing produce 16 dp within 36 sec (assuming the skill lv is 7), the next skill cycle is S1 14 dp every 33 sec and S2 16 dp every 43 sec

Myrtle S2 does heal, but it gets dp WAY slower. I would say that E2ing Myrtle is a fine use of your first E2. While she doesn't get too much out of it, she's easy to E2 and will be good in the long run anyway.

What you fail to realize with that second Myrtle skill is that it lasts twice the duration, and has a slightly higher cost. Most people will still just use S1 because it is faster dp gen. That being said, she IS a meta 4* that will stay valuable and a cheap way to start getting E2 support units.

You can promote her again if you want sure, but imo promoting any other operator will make things way better than promoting her.

Alrighty, Myrtle's a weird one for promotions. If you want better support units, Myrtle is a common pick for a first E2 since she's ubiquitous (printing dp is always good). She isn't good for damage though, so if you want damage or better tanking then someone else would be better. (I personally took Perfumer first on my main and Cuora first on my co-main)

I'd say the best events to do would be: Who is real for a really good and simple AoE caster. Under tides for Gladiia who is the only hookmaster you will ever need to build and she's a good unit even if there's no holes. Invitation to wine for Kroos alter, really good sniper. Myrtle's second skill is actually worse for DP generation than her first. Despite it creating more DP per use, her skills both create DP over the duration of the skill. Because her first skill has a shorter duration, and it needs less SP to activate, you will be able to use it far more often and generate DP significantly faster.

Since story is a non-factor for your choice it doesn’t matter where you start with side story and intermezzi but top to bottom is the simplest way to go about it and keep track of. Maybe start with undertides so you can learn the difference between arts and elemental damage since that’s the event that first introduces it in game. Also you might want to replace Gitano with someone else maybe another vanguard or whatever since for a while, she hasn’t contributed much in stages and taking up space.

Try to get Lumen in Stultifera navis (one of the best medics of the game, specially at Elite 2 with his third skill). If you have problems in these stages, borrow an Eyjafjalla healer You can get a 5* Kroos too in "Invitation to Wine" event and a 6* character called Gladiia in "Under tides" And no, it's not the same myrtle skill 2 than skill 1. Myrtle's first skill generate DP faster, and the second skill slower but heals. Don't promote her to E2, not now. And keep in mind promoting amiya sooner or later, Especially for when you get to chapter 8

You gotta do Dossoles Holiday. The game mechanics in that side-story are probably the best in the games history. Let's just say, I've seen _no operator clears_ in that one. Edit: Also, promote the shit out of Myrtle. Not only is she a DP production machine and will passively heal all vanguards deployed on the map, but E2-ing her will also give you access to E2 supports. If you think Ling was OP before, just wait til you see her third skill.

Click is one of the best 4 star casters, she is a powerhouse. On top of that she’s just a cutie. Her skill lets her keep attacking enemies that leave her field of view Ambriel is a decent sniper and her skill has global range making her dependable. Cutter is powerful, great unit to drop into a map to take care of big threats and pull back.

People are saying to not promote myrtle because her archetype is only made to get DP and the only thing you unlock to make her better it's mastering the skill (it's 3 levels beyond the 7th) and you can only upgrade her skill beyond the 7th lvl if you have the training room in the base Now changing the topic, it's better if you use her first skill, the second one don't heal enough to make it important and the first skill charge faster than the second on the first time after deploy

I think Under Tides gives you the best welfare unit with Gladiaa, a 6* and best puller in the game. Stultifera Navis gives you Lumen who is an excellent medic (which you could definitely use to replace Hibiscus). Invitation to Wine gives you Kroos Alter, who has one of my favorite character designs in the game and is a very good 5* sniper. Gladiaa you will want to get and build eventually because when you need a puller she's the best there is, but most of the time you'd just be using her to pull enemies into pits, and that can be handled nearly as well by Rope or Cliffheart. Kroos Alter would be better than any of your other snipers right now, although May isn't that far behind her. Lumen you absolutely would start using right away. Myrtle you should 99.9% of the time use her S1. Her entire existence revolves around making DP to let you play other units faster, and that's pretty much the best DP generating skill in the game. Her S2 is slower and you get less DP from it, and using it to heal is awkward (you'd have to hold off on using it to make DP to have it ready when you need healing... which defeats the point of using her to print DP). Myrtle's main gain from E2 is that it lets you upgrade her S1 beyond Level 7 through masteries. Mastering her S1 makes her DP generation significantly faster. She doesn't otherwise learn any new skills or get any better at what she does just from being E2. Masteries are way more expense than just leveling skills up regularly, so it might be quite a while before you'd be able to take advantage of this with her. You will eventually want to do this, so it's just a matter of when. Think of it like this - you have a potato computer that can barely run solitaire, and everybody is telling you the first upgrade you should buy is a new SSD because it'll let you boot up faster. Except that doesn't actually help all that much when the main problem is the CPU is practically lighting itself on fire just trying to watch TY vids. Your other good 4* E2 options I think would be Cutter, Ethan, and May. Cutter does massive amounts of melee damage - she has two swords, and each sword is like a Melantha. She's like 2 Melanthas duct taped together. May is probably the best 4* Sniper - she's similar to Kroos but her shots slow and she can stun with her skills. Ethan does AoE damage and is one of the best crowd-control operators in the game, he can hold entire armies in place for you. It all depends on what you think your team most could use right now. If you somehow managed to pull Perfumer I'd probably recommend her as you need another good medic and she's the best 4* medic (and honestly better than a lot of 5* medics). She heals multiple characters at the same time AND causes every operator on the whole map to passively regen health.

2:31 promote Myrtle if you wanna mastery 3 her skill 1. The skill 1 is the most op skill of her, she can generate 30+ dp in just a 30 seconds something. Otherwise keep your Myrtle at elite 1 if you don't plan mastery her skills yet. And also once you promote a team to e2, you can use skill 3 of support units (friend units)
