I feel like the biggest problem in terms of loot pool is people constantly about it. Every time FN adds a new, exciting item all the competitive players complain and then FN removes it from competitive. These players just want the classic loot pool which, may be convenient for them but it’s not that fun to watch.

Just because you play arena and think it would be fun to have the dumb and fun items in them doesn't mean high level competitive will be funnier with those items. Have you seen Fncs Invitational? One of the best lan events they've ever hosted and it was with a lootpool with no crazy items. Just goes to show that this "Oh pros always complain" is because their income comes from doing well in tournaments so if there is an item that can instantly ruin your game and you can't even counter it you can see how that is frustrating and dumb.

I mean building for one is just the same thing: people boxing up, going crazy by rushing towards the player, build high to take the high ground, and taking someone’s wall, maybe even every few month or every year some new “groundbreaking” edit is shown to the public. Killer summary of what's going on. With Epic still tonning it with in-game purchases, they don't really need to worry as much about the competitive side from a financial aspect - even though they should. However, if they fail to keep on attracting new players to the game (which is helped by streamers and content creation), they run the risk of becoming less relevant to other games (some of which probably aren't created yet). Competitions give the casual player something to aspire to and keeps them engaged.

Competitive is a joke, so buggy. I stopped creating content awhile ago on this game. I just wish I could stop playing it and find another game, but I don't see any other game that keeps me interesting. Valorant was fun but just not for me. Hoping for some new games to come out that changes things up.

Fortnite needs to revamp Arena a lot more. I'd suggest, 1. Adding Deranking system. 2. Minimum division should be champions division to play any tournaments. 3. Provide an ingame cosmetic such as gunwraps or emotes that represents the player's arena points at the end of every season.

Pros are not asking for a boring loot pool, they want a balanced loot pool. The problem with the hammer is that there are so many bugs with it including one where someone can get hundreds of floppers or another bug where they cant build and their movement speed is like crouching. There are some items like bouncers and shadow bombs that are wanted because its fun and balanced.

Ever since this chapter became a thing, it’s been super buggy and glitchy (even old gen console players are having issues with the whole random freeze thing, but I’m trying to help them by telling them to turn off the record replay thing).

Ik some might not care nor asked for this “story” I’m gonna share, but I used to go all in on participating in some cash cups or arena per season during ch 1-2 through watching clips of other controller players participating in them or showcasing themselves in arena. I knew I had the potential with how good me and brother were (at least until he played less, he still plays it, but not as much before and he’s no longer as good as he was during chapter 1), I just never took that opportunity to stream nor record since I wasn’t familiarized with the process of recording/streaming, and at some point ever since the end of 2020 or beginning half of 2021, I haven’t really done it that much and I’ve pretty much stayed at the same state of level and haven’t improved, sure I had a few good games, but it’s like i couldn’t get past a certain wall of skill and even through playing creative (and playground which is where the entire player base started to become sweated-prodigies), I still wasn’t showing any actual progress, also one more thing to note was that even if I was somehow improving, I probably wouldn’t still be noticed since once again, at that time there were many random prodigious players coming out of nowhere left and right. So I’ve kind of just stuck with doing arena and going until the last contender league just for the wrap, and sometimes I will participate in some cups just to see if I might have some random spark of higher skill come out of nowhere.

the roadmap thing is a good idea, I woke up today thinking it feels like Epic Games are just freestyling and hoping we are happy with it. Nothing seems consistent (especially the storyline interests) and it seems like there's such a very lazy strategy (although I know they work very hard) that they are working with atm. I want best for Fortnite and everyone playing it, but a roadmap and stuff to look forward to outside of the collabs and skin leaking scene needs to happen. Like for example, First person mode.

I never expected comp to be able to survive this long to be honest. I've been watching your channel for a long time and I'm happy for you that you've been able to continue to make this work for you. But you seem to be a smart guy and I believe you and your wife would be alright if you ever had to step away from gaming and do something else. I feel like there's a lot of other people who started as streamers really young and I wonder what other skills they have if they had to move into another industry. But it takes networking and entrepreneurialship to be able to make this work so I'm sure many of them will find some way to grow their brand in another way. If many creators work on a collaboration effort with Fortnite, maybe they'll have something going forward. The only reason Fortnite probably got so popular is becauae of streamers. Fortnite need to make more creative Competitions. We see the Lazarbeam competition which was just flint knock a. You had the trap tower one with Sypher. The pickaxe one with Lachlan. I really think Epic got tired of managing these complex tournament schedules and paying out millions in prizes, while orgs would pick up players and sign very lucrative sponsorship deals that were making the orgs money. I think Epic made a business decision, to let the org scene die and center comp around their invitationals at their compound so the big sponsor deals go to them. It makes total sense as a purely business decision. They don't really need to care if high profile players don't have orgs. Thousands of kids will always get in line to try and win money in Fortnite.

It’s fun, but the issue I have with this is how buggy and glitchy it is, old gen console players can’t even play without the random “freeze” thing coming out of nowhere, the hammer has many bugs and glitches, and even winterfest/the MHA mythic was just removed early, they’ve never done that before and it just feels like this chapter has the worst start, chapter 3 had a better start with players actually liking it without any real issues.

I for one love the current state of Fortnite, Competitive Fortnite needs cut their bullsh*t and stop trying to change the game to suit their playstyle. Fortnite has always been about innovation and fun game mechanics. If you cannot win at the game in it's current state, you shouldn't be playing Fortnite. Yes certain items are Overpowered. But that's part of the game. I agree with Sypher, it is FORTNITE. I don't think it was ever intended to be a competitive sweat fest. I don't think epic owes the "pro" players anything. If you are really good at the game, enjoy it. Don't expect epic to mold the game to you liking though, it ruins it for the rest of us. You can argue they can just have two modes, comp and casual. But maintaining and balancing the two will make them two different games .

I completely agree with your statement about what kind of game fortnite is (it's not as competitive as csgo, valarante). You can feel that fortnite was meant to be casual right from the start. They tried adding competitve aspect to the game but you can't really succeed in both directions if all the updates that are meant for fun gameplay affects competitive scene. You have to assign completely separate development team to maintain competitive side of the game (and completely different game mode where casual updates don't apply). One more thing: battle royal LAN tournaments will never be as frequent as they are in cs, valarante because of the player count needed.

Competitive Fortnite has lowkey been done for a couple years now. I don't think it's any secret that Epic changed direction a couple years ago because they realized pushing competition so hard was making the game "sweaty and competitive" instead of "fun and inviting" thus driving away new/casual players. Also, expecting pros to stream and be stream snipped and lose, that defeats the purpose of them being pros and expecting them to do well. What sucked the life out of competitive fortnite was the openness of the tournaments. I understand is a fair opportunity for everyone to participate, but the mistake was shifting the entire competitive scene to open tournaments. I really miss the invitational tournaments. Watching content creators stream and play regardless of skill was always fun. Now comp is filled with players that are almost unknown to people who don’t fully dip into the competitive scene. I believe fortnite should I have continued with a 50 50 approach where they have large tournaments for content creators and well know competitors. And another tournament where all eligible players can compete.

For arena, players who make it champions league this season should stay in the champion division for the whole chapter (resets when new chapters start) so they don't make others quit playing competitive. We also want to see that if you leave the game, when you're knocked, Epic will ban you for joining another match for 1 minute. Finally, Epic should officially nerf turbo building so all platforms can build and edit at the same speed. To save tournaments, we can split a cash or skin cup into 4 different servers (PC, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo) and first place on each platforms will win the top prize. For FNCS, we can make platform versions and the best 2 teams from each platform and region could make it into the FNCS against the other 48 lucky teams. I hope you agree with my ideas to save Fortnite Competitive.

the shield is good for no builds but just useless in builds. and the theme with more fun items has limits the mechs and sword was to much crazy broken like the hammer but the normal shockwaves for example were perfect troll good mobility and had practical uses without being impossible to counter the normal impulses like they have right now is to week and u get caught dead trying to use and lastly little different but the thing they have done with shotguns is stupid i get no 1 pumps but increasing body shot damage while decreasing headshot multiplier like they have done literally makes worse people better and 1 pumping is one of those aspects where it was fun it may not have been completely fair but bailing out on someone who played stupid and just ran at you was always one of the best feelings

The biggest issue coming from someone who played fortnite and liked to play it competively is honestly the building became to fast and yes most will say "skill issue" but also a game shouldnt come down to who can take a wall the fastest with the best connection and quicker edits. the game was fresh and fun when building a base and defending it . a lot of people older or people who quit fortnite came back when no build was announced. But there is only 1 cup a week with no build and no arena for it. for fortnite to come back competively i know this sounds lame but they need to either release no build arena or scale the games building mechanics back by many different ways either limit the amount of materials or offer cooldowns on building. the most popular streamers only play the no build cups anymore like Tfue. its sad but people got tired of spam building and turbo builds hence why a lot went to Call of Duty like ayden tfue nickmercs, tim, etc.
