I have a career in dentistry in the states. It really is a hard decision to decide what is best for a persons teeth. Conservative is always the better choice. First, take really good care of them brushing (and flossing which not many people do consistently.) Your own teeth are always better than dental implants, partials, or dentures. Everyone I talk with who has lost (or chosen) to remove their natural teeth wish they could go back and get them back. {search Gingival sulcus}. This space is very important to keep clean. Brushing with bristles angled around 45 degrees into the sulcus and flossing as deeply as possible while pressing against the tooth to scrape the plaque. Going to your dentist 2x/year for a professional cleaning and exam. Think about it... Love you and your precious family.

Also getting botox really isn't a big issue nor is it a "bad thing", as long as they are happy, that is all that really matters ✨

Hey Jonathan. I'm in dental hygiene school and we learned that NOTHING is as good as the real thing. Having fake teeth isn't all sunshine and rainbows unfortunately 😔 I would definitely recommend braces if you don't think you can commit to invisalign because once those braces are on you are committed whether you wanna be or not lol. I think some places also do braces on the inside of your teeth so you barely notice you have them aesthetically. But if the integrity of your teeth are in good shape then don't pull them, in my humble opinion. Much love to you all!!

I am considering getting invisalign or regular braces( the small ones that have no color) do you have a recommendation on which are better? I’ve heard that invisalign can cause cavities, or may not be the best method to move the teeth. My teeth are fine just a little crowded at the front, but my bite is ok. I appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

@Moon Child Hi, it's not that veneers are bad necessarily... I think it's more of people don't know that there are even cons that exist in the first place when it comes to restorative work like veneers or implants. It's really depends on the individual.

@@anga8122 Both methods increase your likelihood of cavities simply because people who have braces/invisalign need to keep up impeccable oral hygiene which is hard for most people even without braces. So brush 20 min after each meal, at least 2x a day, electric tooth brush, flossing really well, etc - is what I mean by impeccable. I would advise emphasizing to your dentist that you do not want you teeth moved too fast, that is where you run in to a lot of problems. But again that goes for both invisalign and braces. I hope you find yourself a great dentist!

I've seen other KZbinrs I watch charge a lot more for it and I was honestly shocked at the low price you put out for us. As a KZbinr myself, I see your thinking for sure. Mate, that's not what people are trying to say. Some people don't have the choice to join due to losing their job etc and not having the money to. So for those viewers to be left in the dark, it's not a good time. We don't want to be without either, so it's not a great place for many of us to be. I’ve been trying to teach my 6 year old about random facts and the other day I gave her this long speech about weather and the seasons changing and she just looked at me and said “can I have a snack” 🙈😂 good talk.

I have four kiddos, and I'm always trying to teach them the important things like manners, about feelings, being kind, etc. Recently I was having a talk with my seven year old about how we don't have to be mean back to mean people, and to let it roll off his shoulders and don't take their words personally... he looks dead at me after a couple of minutes, puts his hand on his hip, and goes, "Is the speech done now? I already commented about the teeth situation but I feel I have to comment again in support of you both. My daughter has been watching your videos since before Emilia was born. 4 years ago we were lucky enough to meet you during The Big Walk in Cardiff. It was a completely free event and we had 5 mins with you one to one, we took lots of photos and selfies (not me, my daughter lol), again there was NO cost whatsoever! We have been to a few book signings and other KZbinr events but yours stood out the most to me because you actually spent time with us and it wasn’t rushed so for that I thank you. My daughter is 16 now and still watches you, and I have been subscribed for a few years too. You have never asked for anything, you give yourselves completely to your subscribers. You are not changing anything about your schedule or channel so I can’t see why anyone has the right to complain! If they don’t want to or unable to pay the small fee for the membership that is totally fine, but don’t feel bad about it guys. The Ace family were charging $20 for their Ace Club membership! But I feel like that exclusive content will all be found out eventually. (After all, nothing on the internet really stays private forever.) If one day the fomo gets really bad, I’d honestly wait until there’s a ton of exclusive videos out, pay for a month sub, binge it all, then cancel the membership until the next time I binge. Rinse and repeat. That way you’re not paying every month (not sure if that’s actually possible I haven’t tried lol)

I think it’s pretty cool how you addressed it today. I personally tried signing up but I only watch KZbin on an iPad and it didn’t work. I was curious but not super interested but like you said not everybody is going to be interested and that’s OK.Some people have an issue with the cost some people have an issue with the ethics behind it because although two dollars isn’t a lot of money, two dollars times 50,000 subscribers is a lot of money to earn every month off just having a conversation. But if people are interested in watching you and Anna converse and it’s worth it to them then that’s great.Teasing about content people are missing in my opinion is totally uncool. I think all your subscribers are now up to speed with what the options are. Asking people to sign up every time you do a video seems a little odd, and if it were me I would just post it with a link or whatever information they need to sign up and only discuss it very occasionally for new viewers. Anyway that’s my two cents, loved the video today.

I think what you're missing here, Jonathan, it's not a choice for many people whether they get the membership, or not. There are lots who might want to be a part of it, but their budget won't allow it. Then you have people who have supported you for a long time, been fans for a long time and they are now left out in the dark and have to go without. It's not fair to those people either. Unfortunately, there is a pandemic going on and so many are struggling financially, it's even harder for people when their lack of funds are now forcing them to not be able to see these extra videos or extra content. Anxiety and depression are at an all time high, it's not helping to have to sit in the dark too when it comes to this membership. I wished you'd consider those people as well.

I’m forty 46 and just got Invisalign to fix my crooked teeth, in hindsight I probably would have gone with clear braces instead. Although they are working perfectly well, having to take them out to eat and drink every single time is pain. But I would definitely recommend doing it, you won’t regret it. I’ve had mine for nearly a year now and that year has gone so quick you won’t even notice. Definitely do it!

I learned something important in therapy years ago.... No one can make you feel a certain way, it is your choice to feel how you feel. It is your choice to take what people say and then you decide how you are going to feel about it. I didn't feel pressured to join the membership, but I did it cause I wanted to. i'd just like to add that i am a recent, unemployed, and broke college graduate (with a dwindling savings account😂) and i jumped at the chance to join the membership for the SOLE reason being that i WANTED to! i'm choosing to spend my (albeit little) money not just the way i "want" but the way i CAN! as i wish everyone to do! absolutely NO pressure, NOTHING of the sort from you guys so please don't worry about that! everyone should be able to do what they want and what they're able to with their money and i understand some not wanting to spend their hard earned dollars on the membership, and i encourage y'all to remind yourself that you're not missing out or losing anything or deemed "lesser" (or whatever!) than those who joined, so i really don't want you to feel that way! we ALL still get to see the sj vlogs which is what we all fell in love with and subscribed for anyways and for free! the membership is just a little something extra :)

Johnathan I’ve had that done, all new teeth! My natural teeth were so bad, breaking, cracking, needing pulling out - I spent thousands over the years on fixing them. Eventually I had all new teeth and I feel amazing I can smile with all my teeth and not ALWAYS be self conscious of horrible teeth 😎

Ashley Rose I’ve had dental implants, they took months and months to make. But they’re made in Denmark and by highly skilled dental experts and are so durable. I believe this is the most expensive way to replace teeth, but also the most comfortable and natural. 😊 The total cost was around £12,000. I’ve had them a few years now. 👍🏻

I have been watching you guys for years and it does make me sad that there is now content that I can’t afford to watch. What is really hard to swallow is when you tease in your regular vlogs about content that can only be viewed if you subscribe to your paid only content. If you are using the KZbin app you can’t join the membership that way. You have to go to the page on the web to join. I had the same problem that everyone is saying they don’t see the join button. 😃 Just sharing to help everyone out.

Never even noticed your teeth Jonathan. My sis in law replaced all her teeth. Because she smoked for so long, her teeth just rotted, so she made the decision to replace them all!!! She did say it was extremely painful, so if you're doing it for vanity purposes, I wouldn't 💕💕💕💕💕💕

You notice more imperfections when you’re watching yourself on video which they do all the time while editing so therefore you’re going to start to compare yourself to others wanting what they have. And then starting to feel bad about yourself of what you don’t have. Thick hair perfect skin.etc This is why I stopped doing Instagram stories because it started making me feel bad about myself.

I joined immediately but I do have to say that I did think they overkilled it with the promotion. Asking to join once should be enough. Asking several times did kinda make me feel like I want to cancel. So I understand if people felt pressured or even that they were begging for people to join. It's not a case of "join if you want, don't join if you don't want", it's more like people want to join but they can't, they want to support you but they can't, because there's a pandemic on and £1.99 a month might not seem a lot to you but that genuinely is for some people. It feels a bit like you can't see that for some, that 2 quid is actually not affordable, just like the comment you addressed in the video this isn't hate, but people are trying to tell you that doing this, right now, is not the greatest decision..

You can continue to support them on this main channel. Just like you might not be able to support your favourite artist in concert because tickets are too expensive, but you can still support them by listening to their music. Both musicians and KZbinrs create content for your enjoyment, but it’s also their career. So, like any business/brand they offer different levels of support you can commit to. Support them where you can, it’s not a new concept in the entertainment industry so I don’t understand why people are reacting negatively or as if they are being insensitive

I never negatively comment on pples vlogs but now you have brought this up I agree that paying 1.99 to watch or only have ' free' content is wrong in my opinion. It's free, but we do have ads in the vlogs which is an income for you so you are paid, I understand the whole troll thing but it's almost like you are punishing your every day watcher because of trolls. I think charging 1.99 is a slippery slope for other channels to do the same thing and the one good thing about KZbin is it is free. @@EvaSofie it's the way it was done like oh you won't know about this it's a secret for members, pple are struggling atm and some pple on here oh it is only a coffee from Starbucks well you know some pple don't have coffee from Starbucks. Then it is the other side of things youtube is free and many watchers have watched for many yrs loyal watchers who are now having to choose if to pay or not because of trolls, it just doesn't sit right with me at all. I am not an opinionated person really but I have watched since Emelia was little so this does bug me. Comments like either pay and watch or don't is not very nice to the loyal watchers who maybe can't afford it. (Especially as a lot of viewers are teenagers or younger)
