I had a similar dream once. I was hospitalized for a complete 8 years. One fine day, I dreamt I died and reaching a river bank were a man was taking fees and asking questions about erands for carrying people over the river. This person asked me to pay, I have nothing to pay with, he then asked me to turn away and go home because my time is not yet to cross over. I swear by my Allah, I stayed in the hospital for almost 8 years before they allowed me to come home .I am now living and taking medication which the doctor said will be forever. I thank Allah and always thank him only.- I am still alive living in Sweden- Allahu Aqbar Kabir.
