Season 1 is slow but decent Season 2 in my opinion is really good, much faster Season 3 is slow but worth it, amazing arcs Season 4 makes it fast again Season 5 is the pinnacle, though it has some strange arcs, it is REALLY WORTH IT. Season 6 is very dark and feels like a badass epilogue, neceassary lore is hidden within it Season 7 starts with some...eh...arcs...but the final arc is The Clone Wars' storytelling at its MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.

Listen I absolutely love the original trilogy, hands down the best films of the saga. But in my opinion without a doubt, the prequel/clone wars era is so rich with characters and storytelling that this show took advantage of and man I love it so much. I didn't have cable back then, but when the season 1 DVD's released my mom got them for me. Throughout my childhood, it was the show I watched the most, and we would always get the DVD's. My mom had to turn it off a few times because it got too intense for her, particularly with Dathomir stuff and Umbara.
