Enjoyed your film. My cousin rode her horse over the seven arches aquaduct in the early 70’s. Presumably before the barriers were put there. She must have trusted the horse. Said horse also was taken into her wealthy boyfriends parents home when they were away. She then had twin daple grey horses. I am not a rider but she took me on the Harewood house bridleway from the Eccup stable she rented. I was stiff as a board when I got off. Happy memories.

You could never "ride a horse over the aqueduct." I lived right behind it in the late 50s/60s and knew it well. It's just too narrow and was built as an aqueduct (water channel). You could almost touch the beginning of it which touched the ground close to the Buck Stones.

Every time I visit Adel and think of someone stealing the wonderful door knocker (made in York circa 1200) I absolutely seeth!
