Excellent discussion with appropriate examples given to explain specific issues. In regards to the brain not mentioned in Buddhism is due to the Buddha not knowing the function of the brain at that time. The function of the brain was known to man only recently like 300 yrs ago. Most emotions etc was believed to be connected to the heart at the Buddha’s time and brain was considered as a organ helped to cool the blood. Egyptians when they mummified bodies preserved all the organs but not the brain for the use afterlife.
