The British Heart Foundation is so close to my family because it helps and supports those with heart problems and my little sister has had heart problems all of her life, she is constantly battling with it and going in for surgeries every few years. Also you don’t have a building background unlike the professionals in the community therefore the people won’t trust the school or building you make because someone with no experience of building made it. Now don’t get me wrong you intentions are great and humble but maybe instead of building help paint or educate the children and families. I really don’t won’t this to come across as hate I just don’t want you doing the wrong thing.

Normally the people building the schools are helped by the construction workers in the community. Also, the money that is either collected or paid by the volunteers is given to the construction workers to help pay them and the supplies. Coming from someone who helped build a school in Haiti. Nothing is done unsupervised nor is it done without actual planning.

All I am going to say is PLEASE seriously read into volun-tourism...before you decide to go on these trips. You're just better off donating money to a certified organization that can properly use the money into other countries economies without consequences.
