I think beyond the usual post production processing to get that "clean" sound that's favored in modern music, there isn't a filter or anything for this cover. bonus fact: taka and ed sheeran are actually friends. haha. about taka going solo, it's a thing pushed mostly by fans who are unhappy with the band's current softer musical direction. taka's dabbled in collaborations with other bands and artists, but beyond this and these covers, he's never expressed interest in going solo. in fact, he's made his dedication to one ok rock very clear in interviews. he's said things like he'd be a lost, useless, "garbage" person without the band, and that he feels responsible for the livelihoods of the rest of the members etc. I can't picture him leaving the band or the band breaking up any time soon.

Great reaction! There's no filter ^^ I've heard Taka live 6 times (and I'm sure thousands of fans have heard him live more times), and so good each time. He's not 100% pitch perfect every time, but I'll say 99% (always allow a margin for human imperfection ^^), and that's amazing in itself given that OOR has about average of 100+ live performances each year. The only time in 6 years that I've listened to this band that he was less than perfect was this performance in USA at an event some time back when his pitch went off for the entire performance of 2 songs, and (me being a music amateur) I read that it's due to poor audio feedback quality in his earpiece or some sound system thingy - anyway I try to forget that fiasco..... When Taka's cover of Hello was first released, there was a media video report out of Japan that Taka's voice is one of the best voices in Japan, his cover practically is so amazing and astounding - that was the Japanese reception of his cover. I follow One Ok Rock for one reason only - Taka, so it doesn't matter to me whether he goes solo or not, but then again, I don't think he will, cos he has been with his band for over 10 years since their late teens, they founded the band from nothing, they built up what they have from nothing, they are good friends and have such great rapport. Oh ya, and Tomoya the drummer is incredibly talented too - he's the first and only drummer to make me think that drum is beautiful when my previous opinion of drum is that it's always a lot of noise XD

Yeah Taka's voice is top quality, if you want to check out more performances that showcase his vocals check out "Good Goodbye live" or "Taking Off live Studio version".. A lot of people were talking about Taka becoming a solo artist for a few reasons. One is that they have been around for over 10 years (One ok rock) and had always made very energetic/aggressive rock songs. But in the past few years, they have switched to a more calm pop sound, which has caused a lot of disappointment among their previous fanbase. The sound switch is mainly due to them moving to America and (Taka mainly)/the band - working with American producers who have basically dictated/shaped their current sound into a more western pop sound. Whereas in the past - it was mainly Taka and the band writing all of their songs without much outside influence. So the band isn't as involved in their new songs because they use mostly electronic/produced sounds on their songs now, and the other members can't really showcase their talents and are reduced to strumming the same chords/same beats (as in most American pop rock music). Taka has produced songs for many other artists in Japan and has a great voice, which is why he could probably be successful as a solo singer. Though it would be sad to see the band disband after so many years, but I'm not sure how much longer they will carry on with their new sound.

Got the chills yet?? 😂 There are IG videos of him singing this at karaoke and he legit sounds like this. Taka is that good. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqOYd4Fviqmpp5I The original IG video seems to be gone so here it is reuploaded on YT). He's also friends with Ed Sheeran. He said that he once went karaoke with Ed and when he walked into the room, Justin Bieber was in there too, LoL. One of the few times I think Taka's been a bit startled at the people around him. With regards to Taka going solo, he definitely has the talent to do so as you said but it's never going to happen simply because he is so dedicated to ONE OK ROCK. They are like family. Each of them have tattoos of each others' initials (except Toru the guitarist because he is afraid of needles and therefore has no tattoos). The tattoo on Taka's right shoulder is a clock in the shape of a sun pointing to 1 o'clock. Yeah, Taka the solo artist is never going to happen. People who suggest it do so in a condescending way because recent songs have less of that raw instrument sound and instead Taka's voice is more pronounced and they don't like that. The band's live performances are where it's really at though and their live arrangements always incorporate all the instruments so personally I don't think it's anything to worry about. I've already given you a few suggestions but add NO SCARED and Deeper Deeper at Yokohama Stadium onto that list and keep the reactions coming! 🤘

React to babymetal and band-maid from japan. These are both all female membered metal, hard-rock bands. One thing that makes japanese rock bands so unique is instrumentally so uplifting and very catchy. Babymetal and one ok rock are already well known globally and band maid is new known globally from 2017 i think. They are very bery talented skillfull and beautiful ladies with ROCK passion inside their souls

Taka will probably never go solo because the band is very important to him and they are like brothers. He feels without them he would be lost.
