And so begins the month of November~ :D Who's excited?! I have aLOT planned for this month! Specifically, it's Patron Appreciation Month! To kick off this month, I covered the much requested and instant classic track, "Hello" from Adele. I've been enjoying this song ever since it came out, and seeing how so many cover artists here on KZbin were giving it a go, I figured I'd throw mine into the ring as well :P I hope y'all enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments!!

Caleb, my salute to your vocal prowess. Unlike many others here who are criticizing the fact that you went too 'low'....I'd like to congratulate you for creating a much more emotionally intriguing and non-generic cover of this song. The low parts show the depth in your voice so well.....the lyrics sound all the more meaningful in that part. Honestly though, your belting isn't at its best here, sounds kinda screamy. I've heard you do better, that's why I said so. But thanks for creating such a unique and striking cover, definitely an outstanding cover of this song by now. Inspired me a lot to sing it. :D

+rishabhrox1 Agree with the comment toward his lower register, but disagree with the notes to his higher range. I think the "screamy" sound isn't any different or even as high as I've heard - even in his Let It Go - I thought it was rougher there than here, or in his Sia cover or Simple and Clean - those are some of my lesser favs because of that range that seems a bit too out of reach for him. This I think is right in his wheelhouse. Still, as any of his current fans would agree, it's another solid cover.

I just wanted to say that this cover is so amazing. I'm currently going through a divorce. In the last year trying to save my broken marriage I withdrew from a lot of very good friends and family. Now trying to get in touch with these people I love, I realize a few have moved on in my absence. This song speaks so much to me right now, and this cover pulls at so many heart strings! But in a good way. Lol i hope that doesnt sounds dramatic. I dont even know if my comment will be seen. I (truthfully) hadn't heard Adele's version since it's release and saw Caleb had uploaded it so I listened to his first to find out what the big deal was (love Adele and her songs, don't get me wrong) ... then ended up replaying his about 90,000 times before listening to Adeles .... I got half way through hers and went back to Caleb. I think he just smashes the emotion in it and I love his voice. Have done since I discovered he had covered Hunchback of Notre Dame songs.

+anonymousL I completely disagree with comments saying this. To me, it is a throwback to his Let It go cover - the deeper parts allow for the higher parts to soar and be a dynamic experience. While I think Chase's performance is fantastic, I think Caleb is equally great because Caleb's hallmark is the ability to give movement to a otherwise "one-note" song is what makes this version great. While Caleb's soaring range is of course the more emotionally pulling sound, to me, if he had done that for the whole song, the emotions and the punch would be lost at the climax. Frankly, I think Caleb's lower parts are sultry and mysterious. Also, I appreciate Caleb never changes the key of the songs he covers, which I think is what he has over many male cover artists. He of course will always have room for improvement, but I do not think he is being given enough credit at all for the dynamic he puts into this cover along with the fact he does in fact go into that upper register, which sadly, apparently is all people want from this song.

Keeling Kavanaugh I get what you mean. I do acknowledge his effort in making his covers unique and better sounding. Like I said, I like it but as a listener, I just prefer him singing it in a higher register for this song. I personally like the lyrics of the song and it just touches me in some way that some other songs don't, especially the chorus. I could feel Adele's emotions when she sang the chorus and I also can feel Caleb's but it's only when he sang it with a higher register. When he was singing it with a deeper voice, I just couldn't feel it as much. I know that he's trying to create more impact when he reaches the second half of the song by singing it in a lower register first but it would be nice if he sings it like that for the first verse and go just a little higher when he reaches the chorus. I haven't listened to Chase's cover yet but I might later though.

It's personal preference, clearly as any listening experience. I frankly find a "one register" voice entirely too boring, hence why I don't really like Adele's much, or covers that are just imitations. I also think Caleb is a performer, not a pop artist, so it is more natural to hear him have a much more dynamic sound and more movements in his covers. If you like that high register and range, you'll more than likely enjoy Chase's.
