I'm not sure how young your son is, so this pay not apply, but you don't have to be happy all the time in front of him. Kids are smarter than people give them credit for, they pick up on mood changes or voice tones even if you try to fake it. My father has passed now, but my favourite memories of him was when he was honest with me; he'd open up to me about the pain he felt and we became so much closer because of it. He never sheltered me from normal human emotions, even while I was really young, and to this day I couldn't be more grateful. Good luck to you, the way you speak of your son is beautiful, I'm sure you're an amazing father.

so, this guy and i dated about four years back, we were crazy about each other and then i broke up with him because i moved to a state across the country.. I highly doubted long distance would work, we were young. Whenever i used to visit, we used to have such sweet moments and basically the best time ever.
