Allie seemed to take a more measured and unhurried approach to this song than previously, the low notes were beautiful and almost whispered, whilst the stronger high notes were perfect but not forced. A really lovely version - brilliantly adapted by this superb singer ❤️👏👏👏👏

Yes! Yes! Yes! THIS is another cover by Allie, how I love it. Hundreds of times she has performed "Million Years Ago" and yet, for me, this rendition is the best version I have ever heard from Allie. I love her voice, her way of covering hits and the technical skills. With every song she sings. And yet, in Allie's long video list, I have very special covers that literally have me in heaven. Where Allie doesn't just sing a song, but seems to put her whole heart and soul into it. In such special performances, Al doesn't just take over the melody and lyrics. She internalises the song, filters it through her emotional world and musical genius and renders it as a peerless Allie piece. THIS is another one of those covers! I think the chemistry of busking allows her to do this sometimes - such moments I think have yet to be truly captured in the studio environment - gorgeous though some of the studio songs are...its that indefinable something that is so recognisable when it is there....magical.
