I only wanted to have fun Learning to fly, learning to run I let my heart decide the way When I was young Deep down, I must have always known That this would be inevitable To earn my stripes, I'd have to pay And bare my soul I know I'm not the only one Who regrets the things they've done Sometimes I just feel it's only me Who can't stand the reflection that they see I wish I could live a little more Look up to the sky, not just the floor I feel like my life is flashing by And all I can do is watch and cry I miss the air, I miss my friends I miss my mother, I miss it when Life was a party to be thrown But that was a million years ago When I walk around all of the streets Where I grew up and found my feet They can't look me in the eye It's like they're scared of me I try to think of things to say Like a joke or a memory But they don't recognize me now In the light of day I know I'm not the only one Who regrets the things they've done Sometimes I just feel it's only me Who never became who they thought they'd be I wish I could live a little more Look up to the sky, not just the floor I feel like my life is flashing by And all I can do is watch and cry I miss the air, I miss my friends I miss my mother, I miss it when Life was a party to be thrown But that was a million years ago A million years ago

@@MUSICLIFE-lg4il Thank you very much for your sympathy. My english is pretty weak. My comment is something like: "I am in a very difficult time psychologically. After" Chasing Pavements "and especially" When We Were Young "we are now getting to know this song for the first time. The strange thing is that such lyrics intensify the pain and have a comforting effect at the same time . " I had known "Don't You Remember" for a long time from the melody and the refrait. Today I read the text as a full translation for the first time. It's incredibly upsetting for me. You are in your own pain and at the same time you are in a compassionate and loving thought with the singer. Yesterday I saw for the first time that Adele illustrated one of her videos with the song "When We Were Young" with a photo that she shows as a small child. It's shocking and at the same time you're happy not to feel all alone. For me it is about an experience that was very distant in time. A few weeks ago I realized that my great, past love has changed profoundly. Figuratively speaking, it seems to me like an "inner suicide". She seems to have suffered very badly and now she chose a way out that I never expected. As a young woman, she had a very clear, sharp mind and observation. It was one of the main reasons I loved her. And now she's joined a grotesque old woman who runs a disgusting psycho sect. We both had a hugely harsh break a long time ago that I owed more than her. I can't talk to her anymore. She never wants to hear from me again. In her self-portrayals on the Internet, she describes herself as happy and free, but there is at least one photo that shows her with an exaggerated, completely disfiguring grin. Surely she thinks that would be a normal, friendly smile. A few days ago a friendly but perhaps overwhelmed clergyman told me to do psychotherapy. The next day I had one of the most extreme depressions of my life for a few hours. So I'm supposed to have the conversations with a stranger that I want to have with that woman. I should be happy again and no longer worry about her. Should I now speculate that your condition is stable? Her "smile" is quite normal within her group, there are plenty of KZbin videos where you can see it. As a young woman, she would probably be shocked by these videos and now it's her home. And I don't know what to do. She is a grown woman who has made her decision and she is a mother and wife. And I have nightmares and crying fits. "It's none of your business, it's her choice, accept that." My best friend tells me that too. "Why do you take care of her? You're missing everything!" And secretly I think, "What am I missing? Your quasi-marriage? A quasi-wife like yours? A bored, dump, deeply cynical woman with whom you can apparently only talk about household matters? If you can spend so many, many years with someone like that, I'm not surprised that you have no understanding for me." But I don't dare tell him. We recently talked on the phone about my crisis and in the end I said that please keep it between us. He agreed and secretly I thought with bitter humor that this request was completely unnecessary. His partner has no interest in me - and not in him either. I am so grateful that there are people like Adele - or Prince, Eminem and Janis Joplin - and John Cassavetes and Francois Truffaut. Otherwise I would think I was crazy. --- Maybe we're really crazy, but that's probably a good thing. 😂💕

@@MUSICLIFE-lg4il Well this is google translator. 😄 I am German, where are you from? The number of views of your seven Adele videos is deeply puzzling. This one 123,522, the other 32, 33, 74, 60, 29, 19. How is that possible ❓❓❓
