The Alma Chizzit story is actually based on a 1964 book tour brilliant British writer (also great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens. Yes. THAT Charles Dickens) Monica Dickens undertook, showing up at an Australian bookstore to sign copies of her latest brilliant offering. An older Australian lady approached her at her signing desk, and when asked "how can I help you today?" answered, "Emma Chisett?" So Monica signed the book to Emma. It was reported in all the Australian press, and became a popular joke in Oz. (Probably still is!) The story's not new...but the fact that it still works after decades, is a testament to the structure and timelessness of the well-written joke.
