Sometimes relationships break down and no matter how hard you try to fix them they can’t be fixed. This happened to me after being with someone 21 years. There wasn’t hate, but just a loneliness of leaving each other because nothing was there. I traveled for work with a very good job. A few years later I found someone that warms my heart more than I ever knew. That was 14 years ago.. She feels the same way. She lost her husband to cancer. He was abusive to her for over 30 years. I moved to Alaska after the military and was back visiting my brother in Ct where we grew up. My brother happened to live a few miles from her and I saw her in a store there. We hadn’t seen each other since high school graduation. .We actually met when we were 12 and had a crush on each other a few years later. Her friends even told me this but I was so stupid. We were both really shy. She never forgot things about me when I was young even after over 40 years. We both hurt bad and cried about some of the things we dealt with. She is sitting next to me now holding my hand as she watches tv and I do this.
