Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge n advice. After hearing from you, i scooped up all the top layer of the mouldy soil caused by the neem cake powder n then spray them with fungicide.

Thanks in advance, great you showed the result with the small pod inside, how long does the pod take to grow after pollinating?
@gardeningtipsandtreats3 жыл бұрын
Around 10-15 days for seed pod to appear, and around 45 days for it to mature, depending on weather.

@@gardeningtipsandtreats thanks I pollinated it 8 days ago, the flower fell down, but I am still waiting for the baby pod, i don't know how it looks like. I See like small two things inside but I'm not sure whtat it's
@gardeningtipsandtreats3 жыл бұрын
That may be the fertilised pod. You need to wait another week or so to be sure about it, if it grows in size. Meanwhile donot keep it in direct hard sun, and donot allow water on it.

@gardeningtipsandtreats4 жыл бұрын
Thank You ! When ever the first flower appears in an Adenium plant, it is ready for pollination. Infact this plant which is being pollinated had been flowering for the first time. Usually it takes 1.5 to 2 years for an Adenium to flower. You can check the update video to follow up, and do subscribe to support us too. :)

Sorry to trouble u again. Does all desert rose flowers have filaments? I dont seem to see them in the flower that blooms. The flower is small yellow with a bit of pink color.
@gardeningtipsandtreats11 ай бұрын
Of course they will have filaments. Just let the flower mature a bit for 2-3 days after blooming. You will see them for sure.

There flowers of the plants do not bloom together. Its so diificult to cross pollinate them. Can it be done on the same flower for pollination?
@gardeningtipsandtreats Жыл бұрын
Yes it can be done. But the results won't be satisfactory. That will be a type of inbreeding.

Don't open just after it blooms. Wait for 3-4 days after the flower blooms and then perform the process of pollination.

So sorry, I need yr advise again. I actually sprinkled some neem cake powder on top of the soil of my potted desert rose plants. I understand it can also be a pesticide. But it turns mouldy. Is it harmful to the plants? What should i do? Thank you.
@gardeningtipsandtreats11 ай бұрын
Hey! No need to be sorry. You may ask anytime. Coming to your problem, if you put neem cake powder or oil cake powder directly on the soil, it will become mouldy in contact with moisture or water.. That will eventually harm the plants due to fungal growth. The correct way of application is that, you should dissolve some amount of neem cake powder in a bucket of water, and let it ferment for 3-4 days.. And then apply the fermented water to the plant. This will be highly beneficial then and won't hurt the plants in exchange.

If you hand pollinate the same flowers and color and you grow from seed, does it become the same flowers as the mother plants??
@gardeningtipsandtreats4 жыл бұрын
Yes. It is highly probable that the offspring plant flowers will be similar to that of the parent plant in case of self-pollination
