Vs Kirkland - a bum who got KO'd in a round by light-hitting Ishida who at the time only had 6 KO's on his record. Cherry pick. Vs Cotto - very narrow win at MW against a light welterweight. Cherry pick. Vs Amir Khan - A cynical move to stall fighting his mandatory GGG. Got outboxed by lightweight for 5 rounds before KO'ing a guy 30lbs lighter. Cherry pick. Vs Liam Smith - vacated the WBC MW like a p@ssy, again to avoid GGG and dropped down to LMW to face the weakest champ in that division. Cherry pick. Vs Chavez Jr - Canelo's excuse for not fighting GGG at 160lbs was that Canelo was too small for MW yet he then goes on to face a drug addicted bum at 168lbs. Cherry pick. Vs Golovkin. Canelo looked superb the 1st half of the fight, gassed in the second. Legit win. Vs Kovalev - A vodka addicted alcoholic who had only fought Anthony Yarde 6 weeks before. In all likelihood Kovalev took a dive where he was putting absolutely nothing on his punches. Weakest champ at 175. Cherry pick. Vs Callum Smith. Legit win. Vs Yildrim. Bum. Cherry pick. Vs Billy Joe Saunders. Legit & impressive win. Vs Plant - Legit & impressive win. Vs Bivol - after a string of Legit wins Canelo got high on his own supply & thought he could beat Bivol fair & square. Canelo thought Bivol couldn't punch but this was essentially a Cherry pick gone wrong. Got outboxed every single round. Vs GGG (3rd time) - pointless fight against a semi-retired 40yr old. Cherry pick. Vs Ryder - very hard fought, gruelling fight against a journeyman he should've taken out in a couple of rounds. Cherry pick gone wrong. Vs Charlo - pointless fight against a semi-retired LMW that he couldnt KO. Cherry pick. Vs Munguia- another hard fought, grueling fight against a guy he should've walked through. Unimpressive win. Crawford is so much more talented and Canelo has been outboxed twice comprehensively before. He can be outboxed, he can be made to look ordinary at times and Crawford has never ever been outmanouvered or dominated on a skill level. When one fighter has never been mastered and the other guy has been mastered twice just bare that in mind. Just stop and think. Ignore the hype, listen to that inner boxing voice saying Crawford may just pull this off.

It's a pity, I think it's a cultural thing, all the ego and me-culture of today introduces a feeling of embarrassment about losing, so different to the tough bastards fighting in the 80s. My confusion with the Benavidez contract they supposedly sent to Canelo is that the number changed. First Benavidez team said they sent Canelo a 50M contract then it was 60M now Benavidez said it was 70M and he gets 5M. Like why say that now? And why the number keep changing. There's no super fight there.. Crawford is my favourite fighter of the last 2 decades, but he's risking his life - that weight difference/3 weight classes jump/from 135 doesn't make it a fair fight at all.

I don't think his health is in a crazy amount of jeopardy. But his legacy definitely is. He's cashing out of the sport chasing the canelo payday, been pretty inactive for the past 6 yrs by having just 1 fight a yr and isnt even gonna bother getting undisputed at 154 even tho he could do so in 2 fights that will likely be bankrolled by the Saudis giving him the millions he's wanted all this time. Been a fan of him for a good few yrs now but im disappointed in how he's leaving the sport cos once he loses he's retiring

you can't compare the weight at heavyweight with smaller men. Usyk is incredible and has had to overcome a lot full respect, he is my number 1 p4p,, but at a certain point in heavyweight boxing, too much weight becomes a disadvantage, so it is not apple to apple when comparing it with smaller weightclasses

Yeah, if Crawford can move for 12 rounds, it’s possible… but man, carrying all that extra weight, taking shots from a naturally bigger dude (even if it’s not often), and burning way more energy than he’s used to (extra muscle and all) makes this a seriously tough challenge in my opinion.
