BHVR have talked about this issue before. The achievement description explicitly states that killers have to get a merciless victory. Sony and Microsoft won't let you change an achievement/trophy unless it's bugged in some way or there is some sort of legal reason. BHVR don't want to change the emblem system back to what it was and they don't want to change what "merciless killer" means, so it's kind of an annoying spot to be in. If they were competent, they'd simply fine tune the emblems on a killer-by-killer basis so that some killers wouldn't be punished for using their power.

One tip that I've found to help alleviate the insta-down penalty towards the chaser emblem for many killers is to feed into borrowed time hits. Those hits will count as winning the chase for chaser and their mending action will not add towards the healing penalty that applies towards your malicious emblem. I don't believe there's a downside to hitting a survivor with endurance, which should happen even more often with the base kit changes in the next patch.

I wish they had it in the game, that you get bonus exp or bp or something for only running the three teachables. It would give people more of a reason to run perks that they would never use. It would give experienced players a little challenge with a reward (that would of course be the case in general but I tend to see more experienced players get bored and trying to find new things to do) and it would just in general change up some games (not saying it will change the whole game experience but it will definitely change one or another match)

Doing the adepts back when Red Ranks were still a thing was awesome. It was so hard and I like that it forced me to “get good.” With killers. I felt I actually did something Adept with my killer’s base kit. And I actually got my adept for nurse playing Single Blink Matchbox on a map the survivors sent me to. It is quite random whether or not you will get it. And even if you 4K, there’s a good chance you missed the mark for the adept in some category.

31:30 another great add-on for Legion is Stolen Sketch Book. After this video, I played a couple of games with the Never-Sleep Pills and easily 3-4k'd. It's definitely a slightly different playstyle and if the survivors run very early, getting your first hit in can be rough, but it snowballs so hard. Almost every chase ended with me chaining 5 hits and downing someone. I run the pills almost every game now and if the survivors have a lot of items, I bring the Sketch Book. It acts a bit like Franklin's and can really mess up the survivors if they were relying on medkits/toolboxes.

Wraith, you don't need to really worry about chaser since you should be cloaked most of the time, so you'll have what the game sees as tons of 5 second chases that you all won, and the chaser emblem gets tons of progress from winning short chases

Used a midwitch offering and honing stone + bloody coil because i had no trapper sacks left and i find it fairly easy to find traps on midwitch, plus it is nice to be able to pick traps back up in the mid to endgame when survivors allready know about your trap spots. Helps you change things up a little bit :)

Ghostface adept felt impossible for me. I eventually did it with philly and his common shroud recovery add-on while on Badham. Unfortunately, a Nea dc’d on her first down; so I had to play a little mean. Don’t be afraid to play a little dirty and slug for an extra down/tunnel a survivor. Just be careful doing so; because if you get to 2 survivors, they might kill themselves on hook for the hatch. Personally, I recommend getting 3 survivors on death hook before getting the 2nd kill because of giving hatch up. Regardless, goodluck to all of you trying adept!

For Oni, use Renjiros Bloody Glove and Splintered Hull on an Indoor Map or at least a killer sided not too big map. 100% guaranteed easy clap especially for me who's now only ever played him twice. NEVER USE HIS POWER. JUST GET AS MANY BLOOD ORBS ON THE MAP AS POSSIBLE For Nemesis I went to Midwich and brought the Ink Ribbon and 100% additional mutation rate from killing zombies. Hysteria was actually a godsend as the more people injured the more obliviousness you inflict. Plus Eruption in its current state made gen control easy. For Knight, Midwich again with the aura reading near dropped pallets when dropping Carnifex and screaming when putting down the Assassin addons. Use his power to zone and get info. Plague, Black Incense and the addon for removing 2 fountains. Midwich can definitely work, but I had success on Dead Dawg. For Clown I went to Midwich and used the addons that give bonus Hindered and Mangled/Hemorrhage on Intoxication. Seeing as there's like no loops worth using on Midwich the extra Hindered shutdown chases in seconds, plus the free Sloppy Butcher from the addon paired with Coulrophobia made healing near impossible on such a small map. Artist, served hands and whatever the one is that reduces the cooldown by 0.5 seconds. Did it on Midwich. Blight, Otzs addon choice worked flawlessly on Midwich.

Prayer Tablet Fragment honestly works shockingly well for the adept. Three gens blocked, four gens easily infected for about as long, and if anyone does anything to progress they'll be broken in seconds.

Be wary of third seal on hag, the main advantage of it in most matches is that people can’t find hooks, but in adept this backfires severely. Additionally, instadowns mess with Chaser, so in general it might be better to get a few totems cleansed, despite how good ruin is.

Also a great tip if you can: If you can buy the new killer on day 1, do the adept first thing. People won't know how to play against the new killer. I've been doing this since day one of DbD and it takes me 1 or 2 games to complete it. There's no MMR for it, no knowledge and next to no counters on day 1. Works every time.

I actually thought Killer adepts were easier than survivors until I realized it was escapes only, with that I don’t find Killer adepts to be hard at all nonetheless, usually get em the same day

Everytime you post any of these “all killer” videos I always skip to the demogorgon first because that’s the only killer that I own (also I just really like stranger things) and it broke my heart hearing that it’s achievements were removed

For artist it would be stronger to combine severed hands with Matias’s shoes. With hands everything is obvious, and shoes are incredible at outplaying loops and preventing saves

For Wraith I also really love Bone Clapper to confuse survivors, paired with "Blind Warrior" - White. I got my adept with this :)

I seriously disagree with Lery's for Legion, the sheer number of windows and pallets make it almost impossible to catch someone in a timely manner.

After getting the Adept for Trickster when he dropped I decided to try out Twins and was able to get their Adept on my first game and the same with Onryo. It was a good feeling. Roughest Adept I've had was with Nemesis.

For trapper I prefer iri stone just so that once I put traps down, I don't have to really care about survivors messing with them. I got his adept before his recent change, I'd done it with the iri stone and purple bag (then it gave +2 carried traps) on Leary's. I kept getting people caught in traps, which gave lots of slow down, someone kept disarming traps which because of iri stone, that just gave me more slow down, and the survivors hadn't been that great

I've done adept Billy in one try at night (when MMR is basically off) and I really recommend that you do use your chainsaw but with Speed Limiter and Doom Engravings otherwise you're just an M1 killer. This way if you're good at Billy you can still use your power in chase. If you're not good at Billy then this is a really bad idea. Lo Pro is a lot better if you can't curve.
