I normally use Brylcreem or American Crew Fiber. Brylcreem is a light hold that doesn't leave your hair stiff, but keeps it in place to an extent. AC Fiber leaves your hair a little more stiff, but not crispy, so you can still run your fingers through without it moving much.

Lush makes a hair cream “Dirty” that is just magical, it feels so light in your hair but holds it perfectly. I use it to slick back my bangs/sides and it holds for hours on a day out :o)

It’s hilarious but as soon as I heard you start doing the “tuka tika” fast tongue sounds I thought to myself “oh yes she has mentioned she used to be a music major” then you immediately mentioned double tonguing 😂😂 as a strings player myself this is all foreign territory to me... i know that we definitely can’t double tongue on the double bass. 😆Thank you as always for the wonderful video! 😴😴

I’ve got pretty similar hair to you in texture and style and I really like Moroccan oils texture clay 😃 my hair is super straight so it helps to give it some movement and I really like how moisturising it feels. I put a bit through my hair while it’s damp before blow drying and it’s pretty lightweight feeling with a matte medium to light hold which is fine because I like a bit of floppiness but maybe you’re looking for something firmer

Clarinet player here. It's ~possible~ to double tongue, but it doesn't really work that well. You have to change the position of the mouthpiece in your mouth to give you room to double tongue and it messes with your embouchure

I found this yesterday at 8 pm, and now I just woke up, and it's 4 am...I slept like a baby, thank you so much, because I usually can't sleep more than 4 hours. I have very similar hair but I need it to hold like that at work all day so I have the old spice medium hold pomade it's matte and I use it with damp hair and it's great just don't use too much lol only like 6 or 7 $
