I had this on an Interplay compilation CD with several other titles such as Out of the World. This was a really great game back then. And these 2 titles were what made me love Interplay as much as Sierra.

One thing you didn't mention is the rating system at the end of each mission . The floppy version had a more transparent point-based one, with the CD version switching to a percentile score for some reason. The multiple choices, item interactions (some hidden) and puzzle solutions provide different scoring - thus providing some replayability for completionists. Also, if my memory sserves the last mission is expanded in the CD version compared to the floppy version

+The Fifth Horseman Ah yes, I did forget about that. In the floppy version you pretty much just have a battle in space, but in the CD version there's a brief little exploration segment first! :B

That was one of my first video games ever (5' and 3' floppy versions). I didn't know the star chart was CP though - even though we had the books, I usually guessed at it. I should really complete that sometime.
