Aw, sweetie, your med is kickin' right now 🤩 (You are talking fast but coherently and brilliantly 👍) I had four kids, too, I get lost, can't give directions, used to get very lost filling out forms. "Ditzy" defined me. So much stuff I weirdly could not do. So many moments of, "What the heck? Why was I not successful doing such and such? But I never "got it" and kept trying, lol I was diagnosed at age fifty. I am 72, have been on med for twenty-two years, and have had a much better life because of the med. On med, I am not so scared of messing up, but it doesn't prevent me from being late 🤦🏼♀️

if you have ADHD learn to channel your hyper focus, it is a blessing when you understand your power to focus, when you want too, focus on what you want to do, you will likely be the best

😮 Holy Shitballs! I’m 68 and thought it was “just me”, then I heard this quite by accident. Was cleaning my closet while listening to KZbin and I didn’t change what I was listening to and this popped on. I gotta make an appointment with a therapist. Thank you ladies.🌹🙏🏼♥️

Tomorrow's my 65th birthday and "diagnosed about a year ago when my adult son was diagnosed. "Who in your family is like you?" (heads slowly turn to stare at Mom). I'm struggling to start real estate sales and the 10,000 moving parts is so very terribly hard. I understand it but would love to jettison most of the details to someone else while I do the people work, locating and negotiating property etc. But the paradigm today is that each Realtor has to market, do paperwork, etc. I feel like the little musician sitting on the street corner playing a banjo with his feet, a guitar with his hands, blowing a trumpet while crashing the cymbals between his knees. At least I know why I'm struggling so. And relationships are terrible. Thanks for a great podcast!

Me too, thanks to these wonderful women sharing their experience. I was diagnosed at 75, I’d seen many health professionals over the years, no one picked it up. I actually diagnosed myself, then had it confirmed by a ADHD professional. I don’t take meds, the awareness of having classic ADHD and learning the way my brain works, is helping me except who I am, and what I’m capable of doing. Best of luck to all you beautiful ladies out there. Thanks Laura.

stop taking Adderall please it exasperates the symptoms, caffeine works well as a medication, if i am sleep deprived people see as normal, i understand in our normal well rested state we become highly aratick, channel it in what you want to do, we can learn what we love, learn what you love you will hyper focus, channel that focus in what you want to do, i also understand that is many topics learn each one a step at a time
