Black Mirror used to be good, before Miley Cyrus and supernatural demons nonsense They had some great seasons, but they went for lowest common denominator pop culture BS with so many great stories they could have told instead. They sold out, and got cancelled because they replaced good stories with commercial trash. Love, Death and Robots was a far better anthology, taking new ideas and award winning short stories and turning them into animation. A Thousand Suns follows that same ideal.

@@alman-world Exodus was the best of the series, objectively - because it was a complete story, almost perfect in execution - predictable but perfectly executed it still perfect. Then Bug, because again, it was a complete story but lacked any emotional connection beyond body horror, which is why I rank it lower. Then Tomorrow Land, because it didn't try to tell a story - it was just a fantastical roast of the to-big-to-fail failure of a corporation that is Disney. The other two were beautiful works, but they were like when your English teacher gave you the first paragraph of a story and you had to write the rest yourself - both episodes just leave you with no answers to only vaguely defined questions - so they are just art, not stories - which is fine, but if you are rating on story telling - they are the two least impressive.

seriously impressive, at first I could not believe this was a series for youtube. The nuclear bomb Cgi is one of the best I've seen, with the disk-shaped clouds, and the color, it really looks huge.

However, I don't know if the clouds at the bottom are from the footage because look very similar to the original

Ok so after watching all the episodes it vent like this: a terraforming prospector, space pope, earth evacuation, space samurai, earth infection, earth wasteland. So if I understand it correctly Earth got infected with the tap water bug and then evacuated to space and than nuked to stop the infection. The prospector is looking for a new home for the evacuated people of Earth and the episodes with the space pope and space samurai show the cultures that developed on those planets. And the last episode is there to show what remaims of Earth and take full advatage of steamboat Willie being bublic domain. Is that right?

watched the series now and the filming of them is amazing at first I thought they were a trailer for some series coming up on netflix or something. I reckon some big budget films and series could learn a thing or two from these shorts. I would love to know how much they cost and how they were done as its hard to decide if models, CGI or they did just blow up disney.
