There is none worthy of worship except He, the Ever-Living, the All-Sustaining. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot grasp any of His knowledge except as He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not burden Him. He is the Most High, the Great." 2) 1:23 Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4, Al-Falaq 113:1-5, An-Nas 114:1-6. Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of mankind, 2. The Sovereign of mankind, 3. The God of mankind,- 4. From the mischief of the whisperer who withdraws (after his whisper), 5. Who whispers into the hearts of mankind, 6. Among jinns and mankind." 3) 5:43 Abu Dawood (5081) narrated that Abu’d-Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Whoever says in the morning and in the evening Hasbi Allah laa illaha illa huwa ‘alayhi tawwakaltu wa huwa rabb al-‘arsh il-‘azeem (Sufficient for me is Allah, there is no god besides Him; in Him have I put my trust and He is the Lord of the mighty Throne), seven times, Allah, may He be exalted, will suffice him for what concerns him,” (حَسْبِـيَ اللّهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ هُوَ عَلَـيهِ تَوَكَّـلتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ العَرْشِ العَظـيم . (سبع مَرّات حينَ يصْبِح وَيمسي (PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE THE WORDS OF ABU'-DARDA AND NOT OF THE PROPHET ﷺ) 4) 7:23 It was narrated that ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever says, ‘Bismillah illadhi la yadurru ma ‘a ismihi shay’un fi’l-ardi wa la fi’s-samaa’i wa huwa as-Samee‘ ul-‘Aleem (In the name of Allah with Whose name nothing can harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing),’ three times, will not be stricken with a sudden affliction until morning comes, and whoever says it three times when morning comes will not be stricken with a sudden affliction until evening comes.” (بِسـمِ اللهِ الذي لا يَضُـرُّ مَعَ اسمِـهِ شَيءٌ في الأرْضِ وَلا في السّمـاءِ وَهـوَ السّمـيعُ العَلـيم . (ثلاثاً 5) 8:10 Ahmad (18967) narrated that the servant of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no Muslim who says three times, when morning comes and when evening comes, ‘Radeeti Billahi rabban wa bi Islami deenan wa bi Muhammadin sall-Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallama nabiyyan (I am content with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as my Prophet),’ but it will be incumbent upon Allah to make him content on the Day of Resurrection.” (رَضيـتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّـاً وَبِالإسْلامِ ديـناً وَبِمُحَـمَّدٍ ﷺ نَبِيّـاً. (ثلاثاً 6) 8:59 An-Nasaa’i narrated in al-Kubra (227) that Anas ibn Maalik said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to Fatimah: “What is preventing you from listening to the advice I give you? You should say when morning comes and when evening comes: Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom, bi rahmatika astagheeth, aslih li sha’ni kullahu, wa laa takilni ilaa nafsi tarfata ‘ayn (O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining and All-Sustaining, by Your mercy I seek help; rectify all my affairs, and do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye). يا حَـيُّ يا قَيّـومُ بِـرَحْمَـتِكِ أَسْتَـغـيث ، أَصْلِـحْ لي شَـأْنـي كُلَّـه ، وَلا تَكِلـني إِلى نَفْـسي طَـرْفَةَ عَـين 7) 9:19 It was narrated from ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan ibn Abi Bakrah that he said to his father: O my father, I hear you supplicating every morning (saying), “Allahumma ‘aafini fi badani, Allaahumma ‘aafini fi sam‘i, Allahumma ‘aafini fi basari, laa ilaaha illa ant " O Allah, grant me soundness in my body; O Allah, grant me soundness in my hearing; O Allah, grant me soundness in my sight, there is none worthy of worship but You, and you repeat it three times in the morning and three times in the evening. And you say: O Allah, I seek refuge with You from kufr and poverty; O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the torment of the grave; there is none worthy of worship but You, and you repeat it three times in the morning and three times in the evening He said: Yes, O my son; I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) supplicating with (these words) and I like to follow his Sunnah. اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ . 8) 11:13 Al-Bukhaari (6306) narrated from Shaddaad ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The best prayer for seeking forgiveness is to say: ‘Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana ‘abduka wa ana ‘ala ‘ahdika wa wa’dika ma astata‘t. A‘oodhu bika min sharri ma sana‘tu, aboo’u laka bi ni‘matika ‘alayya wa aboo’u laka bi dhanbi, faghfir li fa innahu laa yaghfiru’l-dhunoob illaa anta (O Allah, You are my Lord. None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise (to You) as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You).” And he said: “Whoever says this during the day, having faith in it and dies before the evening comes, will be among the people of Paradise, and whoever says it during the night, having faith in it, and dies before the morning comes, will be among the people of Paradise.” اللّهـمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّـي لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنـي وَأَنا عَبْـدُك ، وَأَنا عَلـى عَهْـدِكَ وَوَعْـدِكَ ما اسْتَـطَعْـت ، أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما صَنَـعْت ، أَبـوءُ لَـكَ بِنِعْـمَتِـكَ عَلَـيَّ وَأَبـوءُ بِذَنْـبي فَاغْفـِرْ لي فَإِنَّـهُ لا يَغْـفِرُ الذُّنـوبَ إِلاّ أَنْتَ 9) 11:54 Allāhumma `ālima ‘l-ghaybi wash-shahādah , fātir as-samāwāti wa ‘l'arḍ, Rabba kulli shay'in wa malīkah, ash-hadu an lā ilāha illā ant, a`ūdhu bika min sharri nafsī, wa min sharrish-shayṭāni wa shirkih, wa an aqtarifa `alā nafsī sū'an, aw ajurrahu ilā Muslim. (O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self and from the evil of the Shaytaan and his encouragement of shirk, and from causing any harm to myself or any Muslim).” Reference: Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/142 and AbuDawud. اللّهُـمَّ عالِـمَ الغَـيْبِ وَالشّـهادَةِ فاطِـرَ السّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ رَبَّ كـلِّ شَـيءٍ وَمَليـكَه أَشْهَـدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ أَنْت أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِن شَـرِّ نَفْسـي وَمِن شَـرِّ الشَّيْـطانِ وَشِـرْكِه وَأَنْ أَقْتَـرِفَ عَلـى نَفْسـي سوءاً أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلـى مُسْـلِم 10) 12:36 Abu Daawood (5074) narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) never failed to say these du‘aa’s in the evening and in the morning: "Allahumma inni as’aluka al-‘aafiyah fi’l-dunya wa’l-aakhirah. Allahumma inni as’aluka al-‘afw wa’l-‘aafiyah fi deeni wa dunyaaya wa ahli wa maali. Allahumma astur ‘awraati wa aamin raw‘aati. Allahumma ihfazni min bayna yadayya wa min khalfi wa ‘an yameeni wa ‘an shimaali wa min fawqi wa a’oodhu bi ‘azamatika an ughtaala min tahti (O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and keep me safe from the things that I fear. O Allah, protect me from the front and from behind, and on my right and on my left and from above, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from receiving unexpected harm from below me [being swallowed up by the earth]). اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في الدُّنْـيا وَالآخِـرَة ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في ديني وَدُنْـيايَ وَأهْـلي وَمالـي ، اللّهُـمَّ اسْتُـر عـوْراتي وَآمِـنْ رَوْعاتـي ، اللّهُـمَّ احْفَظْـني مِن بَـينِ يَدَيَّ وَمِن خَلْفـي وَعَن يَمـيني وَعَن شِمـالي ، وَمِن فَوْقـي ، وَأَعـوذُ بِعَظَمَـتِكَ أَن أُغْـتالَ مِن تَحْتـي 11) 13:27 It was narrated by Abu Dawood (5068), at-Tirmidhi (3391) and an-Nasaa’i in al-Kubra (10323) from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that he used to say when morning came: “Allahumma bika asbahna wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya wa bika namoot wa ilayka’an-nushoor (O Allah, by Your grace we reach the morning, by Your grace we reach the evening, by Your grace we live and by Your grace we die, and to You is the resurrection).” اللّهُـمَّ بِكَ أَصْـبَحْنا وَبِكَ أَمْسَـينا وَبِكَ نَحْـيا وَبِكَ نَمـوتُ وَإِلَـيْكَ النِّـشور 12) 13:43 Abu Dawud (4/317) "“Allah will spare whoever says this four times in the morning or evening from the fire of Hell.” اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَصْبَـحْتُ أَُشْـهِدُك ، وَأُشْـهِدُ حَمَلَـةَ عَـرْشِـك ، وَمَلائِكَتِك ، وَجَمـيعَ خَلْـقِك ، أَنَّـكَ أَنْـتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شَريكَ لَـك ، وَأَنَّ ُ مُحَمّـداً ﷺ عَبْـدُكَ وَرَسـولُـك .(أربع مرات حينَ يصْبِح أوْ يمسي) Allahuma inni aṣbaḥtu ushiduka wa ushidu hamalata arshika, wa mala'ikataka wa jami'akhalqika, annaka antallahu, la ilaha illa anta wahdaka la sharika laka, wa anna Muhammadan abduka wa rasuluka. 13) 16:19 Muslim (2723) narrated that Ibn Mas‘ood said: When evening came, the Prophet of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would say: “Aṣbaḥnā wa aṣbaḥal-mulku Lillahi, wa’l-hamdu Lillah, laa ilaaha ill-Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer. Rabbiy as’aluka khayra ma fi hādha ‘l-yawmi wa khayra ma ba‘daha, wa a‘oodhu bika min sharri ma fi hādha ‘l-yawmi wa sharri ma ba‘daha. Rabbiy a‘oodhi bika min al-kasali wa soo’ il-kibari; Rabbiy a‘oodhu bika min ‘adhaabin fi’nnaari wa ‘adhaabin fi’l-qabr (We have reached the morning and all sovereignty belongs to Allah; praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah alone with no partner or associate; to Him belongs sovereignty, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of what is in this day and the good of what comes after it, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of what is in this day and the evil of what comes after it. My Lord, I seek refuge with You from laziness and the troubles of old age; my Lord, I seek refuge with You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave).” أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ المـلكُ لله وَالحَمدُ لله ، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحدَهُ لا شَريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قدير ، رَبِّ أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيرَ ما في هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَخَـيرَ ما بَعْـدَهـا ، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَشَرِّ ما بَعْـدَهـا ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَـلِ وَسـوءِ الْكِـبَر ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَـذابٍ في النّـارِ وَعَـذابٍ في القَـبْر . 14) 17:21 Ahmad 3/406: (We have entered the morning upon the nature of Islam, in the Word of the absolute belief, in the religion of Muhammad, and in the nation of our father Ibrahim, pure in Faith and submission, who never worshipped any other than Allah). Al-Bukhari 4/2071. "Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdih" (سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ . (مائة مرة 16) 18:04 Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu ‘l-mulku walahu ‘l-ḥamd, wa huwa `alā kulli shay'in qadīr. لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كُلّ شَيءٍ قَدير Reference: Whoever recites this one hundred times a day will have the reward of freeing ten slaves. One hundred Hasanaat (rewards) will be written for him and one hundred misdeeds will be washed away. He will be shielded from Satan until the evening. No one will be able to present anything better than this except for someone who has recited more than this. Al-Bukhari 4/95, Muslim 4/2071. Allah will write ten Hasanaat (rewards) for whoever recites this ten times in the morning, and forgive him ten misdeeds and give him the reward of freeing ten slaves and protect him from Satan. Whoever recites this ten times in the evening will get this same reward. An-Nasa'i, 'Amalul-Yawm wal-Laylah (no. 24). Its chain of transmission is sound (Sahih). Albani 1/272. Abu Hurayrah «fe narrated that the Prophet j§ said: "Allah will write one hundred Hasanat for whoever says There is no God but Allah alone, He has no partner. Its chain of transmission is good (Hasan), Ibn Baz, p. 44. 2 Whoever recites this in the morning, will have the reward of freeing a slave from the Children of Isma'il. Ten Hasanaat (rewards) will be written for him, and he will be forgiven ten misdeeds, raised up ten degrees, and be protected from Satan until evening. Reference: Hisn al-Muslim 92. 18) 18:23 “Allaahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad kama salayta ‘ala Ibraaheem wa ‘ala aali Ibraaheem, innaka hameedun majeed. Allaahumma baarik ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad kama baarakta ‘ala Ibraaheem wa ‘ala aali Ibraaheem, innaka hameedun majeed (O Allaah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibraaheem and upon the family of Ibraaheem; You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory. O Allaah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibraaheem and upon the family of Ibraaheem; You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory).” اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ❁ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ ❁ إنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ ❁ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ❁ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ ❁ إنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ 19) 19:06 Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdih,`adada khalqih, wa riḍā nafsih, wa zinata `arshih, wa midāda kalimātih. سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه (Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him,by the multitude of His creation, by His Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Words)." Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her), the Mother of the Believers, reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy in performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Are you still in the same position as I left you." I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet said, "I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier...[Muslim]. Riyad as-Salihin 1433. 20) 19:50 Allāhumma mā aṣbaha bī min ni`matin aw bi aḥadin min khalqik, fa minka waḥdaka lā sharīka lak, falaka ‘l-ḥamdu wa lakash-shukr. اللّهُـمَّ ما أَصْبَـَحَ بي مِـنْ نِعْـمَةٍ أَو بِأَحَـدٍ مِـنْ خَلْـقِك ، فَمِـنْكَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شريكَ لَـك ، فَلَـكَ الْحَمْـدُ وَلَـكَ الشُّكْـر (O Allah, whatever blessing has been received by me or anyone of Your creation is from You alone, You have no partner. All praise is for you and thanks is to You.) Whoever recites this in the morning, has completed his obligation to thank Allah for that day; and whoever says it in the evening, has completed his obligation for that night. Abu Dawud 4/318, Its chain of transmission is good (hasan), Ibn Baz, p. 24. 21) 20:06 Allāhumma innī as'aluka `ilman nāfi`a, wa rizqan ṭayyiba, wa `amalan mutaqabbala. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْماً نَافِعاً، وَرِزْقاً طَيِّباً، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً [to be said after giving salam for the Fajr prayer.] "O Allah, I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial, and sustenance which is good, and deeds which are acceptable." I shared this Dzikr to my good friend in Canada, and he pleased. I hope that this Dzikr will heal any pain he has, and brings him more closer to Allah. Allah blesses his soul, he's a good guy. Insyaa Allah he'll be happy again. Aamiin.. Barakallaahu fiikum..
