Its easy now with rod loaders and spinners. Better than sitting in a machine for 12 hours a day

Hey,I have one question please I’m from Belgium I’ll start engineering fabrication (welding)courses next year but at the same time would like to be part of drilling in mining’s is it possible for a welder to work as a driller ?

Yes no reason why someone who has a welding qualification cannot become a driller. Welding is used in waterwell drilling applications for welding casing lengths together.

Absolutely mate!!! If you have a trade, the mining industry is always looking for tradesmen. Boilermakers, plumbers, electricians, diesel fitters the list goes on, sky is the limit!!!

You'd be better off mining in northern europe, your less likely to get a job in aus if you dont have the right to work there
