After a couple training sessions, found a couple pros and cons: -the no lacing system takes a bit of time to get used to (understandable) -double socking or using soccer socks on top of a very light sock fixed the issue of my foot sliding completely -a pointier toebox compared to vapors or other competitors -not having any physical holes in the upper means more moisture/sweat/heat. That's the biggest issue for me regardless, I love them and they perform great.

The Purachaos and Superfly are much better shoes in comparison to the Purecontrol, in my opinion of course. I wouldn't say that one in particular is the "best", they're just different. It depends on what type of fit and feel that you're looking for.

The general shape and and fit similar, yes. Although the 17.1 fits better with the ability to adjust them. The general lockdown, security and responsiveness is better as well.

Not really. The reason your foot moves isn't necessarily due to the shoe not wrapping your foot properly. It happens because the internal Techfit system that holds your foot in place stretches upon more intense movement, so most of the lockdown is lost. No is going to hold you foot in the shoe.

With these boots. I usually wear a UK 8 with Nike hypervenom phantom. Phinish and mercurials but I had to wear a UK 8.5 for the Adidas F50 CrazyLights. Would I be best getting an UK 8 in the Adidas PureControl 17+?

Nike and Adidas UK sizing is different, that's why you needed a different size. Stick with the same size you wore in F50s.

I went to soccer retail store and tried a bunch of soccer shoes to see if they fit me like the old predator instinct line would but none of the shoes I tried fit me well like predator instinct. Having total problem with new shoes that are coming out in 2017 and that came out in 2016. Love the videos.

The 17.1 Primeknit is a much better shoe. It's offers a very similar upper to that of the Purecontrol, but fixes all of the issues with the fit, lockdown and responsiveness.

How do you think the fit on the boot is after wearing in comparison to the 16+ and the red and black 17+? Do they feel tighter/more fitted for narrower feet? As a tip to you saying you were slipping whilst stopping or moving with the boots on, have you looked into trying Trusox with boots? That should help out a lot :)

Trusox don't really change anything with this shoe. Your foot moves because the internal tech fit system stretches when significant force is applied, which means that your foot is no longer being held tightly in the shoe, therefore your foot will move, Trusox or not. The fit isn't really different in comparison to the Primeknit variations, they're just a little thinner.

I simply gave that as an example because the use of Boost Foam in general and they that Adidas has marketed the feature implies that it will provide much better cushioning than a standard insole setup, which simply is not the case. I simply wanted to give people a better idea what to expect in regards to the Boost feature.

They aren't really going to stretch much and because they're laceless, there's nothing you can adjust. The way they fit the first time you put them on, is how they'll always fit. That's partially my issue with laceless boots, the lack of adjustability.

if you are a striker maybe go for the phinish because nike promotes it as a strikers boot however go for the one that is more comfortable for you
