People talking about the price for “just cushion and carbon fiber”. I guarantee you that if any other company could match the performance for cheaper they would, it’d sell like hot cakes.

100%. The material is expensive to make, they’ve spent dozens of thousands if not millions of dollars researching and testing the material, and it is without a doubt the fastest shoe ever created. Super foam, full length carbon fiber, and a weight LIGHTER THAN MOST LD TRACK SPIKES

Always wondered when a shoe like this gets a bball tread and some lateral side piece for containing. So up to you doc, just another interesting video idea. Also, a review on the 361 Flame RS would be appreciated, for a while now ive been seeing them in my local ross for dirt cheap and would consider them. But I don’t get shoes unless you review them😅. Thanks doc

The price of these shoes is crazy. Which of the shoes you tested would you recommend for a 3:30 hour marathon for a runner weighing over 230 lbs who starts heelstriking in the second half?

i noticed in one of your older videos you said you can't put an orthotic in a drop in midsole shoe...why is that? i've done it before and it felt ok
@Meehhehe4 ай бұрын
It's because drop in midsoles is basically an insole too that's why it's hard to put orthotic. It will make the fit more tighter and more complicated. Congrats to you it worked to you but for some people (me included) sadly it's not.

Watching this made me think if basketball sneakers can also be used for (casual or occasional) running. Especially low tops. Given the foam, stability, and shank on them. What do you think Doc? If yes, could you do ball shoes for running? Given how hese sneakers are priced. I cant afford to buy two separate shoes 😅

Adidas should make same a geometry shoe but with a much durable outsole. So that runners can train to it before using the evo in the race.

It's a speciality shoe for the top athletes to get every last % out of their efficiency. Adidas has to sell the model to the public for it to be WAF legal but in truth it's a production model shoe, these shoes are basically made in a prototype lab making like a few hundred per batch every few months instead of having a factory line cranking them out.
@timo76414 ай бұрын
I mean its like a pro Slick tire, you burned them on track and competition. this shoe is cater more to pro elite level athletes that have sponsor from Adidas, so they can just replace them after a race. A mere mortal like us would never have the ability to use this shoe at max potential. Consider this as a prosumer track race car that needs a crew to maintained

If you're making money from running, I'm sure $500 isn't a big deal for a shoe. Outside of that, it's clearly not something for regular people

I wonder if the comment section wud become weight weenies a la the bike forum itself kek. Jokes aside, I don't rlly think 2E could break them in before they're broken, as it's basically the ultimate weight weenies' shoe aside from the prototype by Li-Ning. And getting half size wud just fxxk up the containment as it'd mean some 0.5cm of more room which wud mean that it'd be a mismatch as well for 2E with short toes. That being said, it's meant to be used by the pro athletes who oftentimes have a triangular and narrow foot shape due to genetics. They also fit the weight weenies part as they're also very, very skinny oftentimes. As you said beforehand, it's the ultimate shoe for elite runners seeking extra PB time reduction on marathon. It's not meant for us mere mortals, as much as running is an inclusive sports activity. Alas, thx for the sacrifice Doc 🙏

Your paying for the R&D on a niche shoe with a very limited demographic. Its called ROI and without that price tag this shoe couldnt exist. I believe the people that truly buy this for necessity (in their eyes) $500 is well worth it
