This is what other brands also should do as well. Explaining their design features and how it impacts runners rather than keep repeating the same old marketing words like 'responsive feel' - 'Snappy toe off' - 'Big energy return'. All this said, their shoe is getting significantly expensive though and still not too convincing getting this over version 2 especially if you can get a discounted price.

The twos are super comfortable and a joy to wear but soo true about the ankles.. inwas limping for a daybafter my first 20 mile long run in those.. still love them though..

they should ditch the normal lightstrike in adios and boston and just use the lightstrike pro in all adizero line.

adidas needs to cut the Adios foam midsole to make it lighter then why did they previously say LS Pro is very light? I think the Nike ZoomX and Saucony Powerun PB are still superior.

Good series of videos. This guy from Adidas did a good job explaining without saying anyting he shouldn't. Being careful. Being a company rep. Adidas Adizero Adios line. Many shoes purpose built. They are innovating....unlike Nike whom I thik are being complacent becaue they are dominating at the amateur and elite level. Though, that IS I feel mostly becaue they managed to sign the right elite athletes at thee right time. And they are the people who are breaking records. E.g. Eliud Kipchoge. Meanwhile everyone else is innovating....I guess waiting ofr Eliud Kipchoges contrct with Nike to end and hopefully get him to sign with them....be a Team Adidas runner. Tht is I think the only way for the others to get on the map. They NEED to get the right elite runners on their tream. Wearing their soes. It's funny Nike dominates with only 2 race shoes. :) Usiing mostly unchanged midsole/outsole design. Carbon plates in the same positions. Only adding a sliver of ZOOM X under the Zoom Air pod. Which I don't believe does anything performance wise. Just LOOKS LIKE a change. becaue you can see it. Foam is the same. Shape is the same. And they upped the prie of the Alphafly :) As good as the Adios Pro 3 looks....i think it IS intended for half/full marathons. To keep the runner moving and comfortable enough. But not really a "speed Marathon shoe" like the Nike Vaporfly. Adidas still needs to put out a version of the Pro 3....but with more drop, plate angled towards the ground....like the Asics Metaspeed Edge+ When are we getting the Adios pro 3?

@@bsmoov7 ...if companies followed that mantra...heh....companies would never more forward. Clearly none of the other companies are standing still....So much Nike could be doing with their race shoes. They could e.g. make a version of the Vaporfly with no carbon plate for training. Everthing the same but just minus the carbon plate....they could talk to a tire company like Adidas has done....etc.

Both are fantastic options for racing and uptempo workouts. Prime X will offer more stack height and in my opinion feels slightly bouncier but will come at the expense of added weight and a much more unstable design. Adios pro 3 is the racing shoe of choice of the pros as it has a world athletics compliant stack height and is built specifically for the elite to set world records. I'd say, in general, more people seem to reach for the adios pro 3 but I do enjoy the unique design of prime x and will bring it out for specific longer efforts. -Connor

The rear lateral bevel of the pro 2 was the worst part of the shoe and made it unstable for me (was guiding my foot laterally and ended up giving that feeling of collapsing /over leaning) . I like the light strike pro much more than zoom x though, and feel it is more durable.

Same. The Pro 2 makes me a wobbly runner, which is really rough towards the end of a long effort.

First off, not quite radio Kurt but close. Secondly, great shoe, would like to try it. But I have a question, with less rubber, less upper material etc, why are these super shoes so expensive. Now, I know it's lighter and lightness translate into a faster turn over but in terms of manufacturing, aren't these companies ultimately saving on cost? So why isn't that cost transition to the consumer? At the risk of answering my own question, it's all about hype / evidence based marketing.

Plated shoes. Effective TECH? perhaps. NEEDED? Debateable. Not sure when plated shoes came to market....2010?? Earlier?? I doubt elite PRO runners before 2000 had plated shoes. nor did they have a "rotation" of shoes" for training. When did the idea of a shoe "rotation" come into vogue? Also roughly 10 years ago?? Shrug.... I think runners of today have beome "soft" placing too much importance on shoe foams for "enough cussion and response". MOre so non-elite runners. I mean elite runners used to run on "flats"....which meant they had to focus on training/conditioning....I'll bet running greats were stronger and more fit. Better form. I wonder if Kipchoge had the choice if he wouldnt have been running in "flats" vs the CUSH Alphafly and Vapofly shoes....Could he? Or would Nike force him to lace up in one of their ZOOM X race shoes?
