Got to play with the 3s. It really is way better than the 1s and 2s. I play shooting guard/center(on defense), it really has a nice feel on court, cushion is pretty good considering i am quite heavy right now for my height. I played on a rubberized court and traction is amazing and the rubber they used is very durable like you said Doc! Overall it’s a very good bball shoe especially when you got wide feet and got bunions. 😅

A friend got the son of chi 2 and were both heavy guys ... around 240- 250, the shoes holds up better because of the amount of weight/torque we put in. So its a much durable shoe for heavy guys because of the durability, but we played on a painted outdoor court so its not so abrasive. And the traction and base is very good, I'm size us 11 4E, but for a little more comfort, I advice go atlease 1/2 size up.

Great rewiew. But with all the characteristics you mentioned..why did you out C in 3 spot, and PG at 1? If the are not for running up and down, and are best for pivoting etc. That part didnt make sense to me :)

My go to shoe right now is the Dame Certified. The traction is really good on them, I mostly play on courts with dust & my friends complain about slipping & I’m perfectly fine because of how good that shoes traction is. He did a review on them, you should search it up

i had those in red colorway and i must say my foot really hurts after a game. the traction is so good but the shock absorption in the forefoot is bad. if you are a forefoot player then this shoe ain’t for you.

Of course, think of it this way, if you jump on stiff carpet you'd be leaping way up whereas landing on a soft bubbly surface it would take away all of your energy as compensation for protecting your knees, however it also results into lower jump height and responsiveness
