15 years ago, people used to cut off the foldover tounge on their predators. It is only nice to look at but not very practical especially after the band snapped or loosed.

The fold over tongue on the + folds too far down the foot and the elastic strap covers over some of the rubber elements so there isn’t full contact with the ball.

I’ve generally had a preference for F50’s and the X series, the speedflows are still my game boots. But I had predators as a kid and these do look awesome. I’m very picky about responsiveness, would these be worth it or should I wait for the 2024 F50’s (which from leaks just look like speedflows)?

Speedflows are the best boot made in the last decade, so its fair to assume that these will not match that level. They were so good, they sold out everywhere when Adidas announced they were going to replace them with the speedportal. Both the laceless and laced speed flows are amazing

Yeah, when they replaced them I jumped on the sales and bought a second pair. And found a third more recently. My original ones tore. They definitely are the best boots I’ve ever worn, or close to given I had 2014 F50 adizero’s.

It’s insane companies are still making the toeboxes pointed, no ones natural foot shape is pointed and it ruins out feet over the years. I haven’t bought an Adidas pair of boots since the Adipower/Adipure 3.

This boot remake seems similar in design to the Mizuno Alpha Elite because of the triangle studs and the snug fit produced by the liner. I'm glad I recently got a new pair of the Alpha in Prism gold and white from Japan. triangle stud takeover?

I can't tell if your color grading on the video is off or changed to look more orange...Adidas said these are "solar red" and they really look red in pictures but here they definitely look orange. I mean, doesn't matter, I still copped a pair.

They’re tough to label tbh. Solar red is this bright, almost orange-y red that’s somewhere in between. Super hard for the camera to replicate that very lively colour that you get IRL.
