Adidas Supernova Rise 2 First Run: It's new but is it improved?

The Supernova Rise is a revelation to me. The only other trainer that I ran in more for my daily miles was the Novablast 4. From where I'm from, the Supernova Rise is heavily discounted. So, at the moment, I'm not sure if there's a strong, compelling reason to buy the Rise 2 when it's practically the same shoe as the first.

I just got my Supernova Rise 1 pair two months ago, good thing they didn't change much, so not feeling buyer's remorse. Thanks for the review!

Adidas makes a great running shoe for me. The SL and SL2 have worked nicely. SUpernova for me felt like my feet were slapping.

It is a firmer (and faster) shoe than expected. I confirm that it’s not my fav for easy runs, but great for everything else 👏🏾

Yup, they made a few tweaks to an already solid daily trainer. A thinner upper mesh was certainly in my list. I think future iterations will continue to try and lower the weight, maybe try to get more performance out of it.

I really like the rise 1, but mine are still good for a couple 100k. Glad they kept the smaller damping compared to the bigger Hokas and Asics. Hope they put out some nice colors by the time I need some new ones!

I want to see the return of the SolarGlide ! Please Adidas, don't launch a Supernova Solution 2 ! But the SolarGlide 7 with dreamStrike foam or the Boost Light !

I know this is about Adidas shoe but I'm looking to get the inov8 trailfly G 270 v2 but not sure whether to go up half a size or not?

I ran a lot of kms in the original (2017?) version of the supernovas - the version with boost sole. Fantastic shoe for me.. How does these compare to the "original"?

Umm ? There's so many similar names at times its hard to keep track of the models. Are you maybe referring to the Super Nova Boost Glide?I had a bunch of the Boost Glides and loved them and compared to some of the running shoes now the stack height was much less but it still offered plenty of cushioning for me but I am 6Ft 3 and only weigh about 170lbs so then again I don't need alot of stack height and I like the more ground feel of rhe Glides over many running shoes that I think are a little over cushioned.

For walking how would these be? I'm a heavier person (~105KG) and have been really wanting to get back into walking but can't seem to find anything that my heel doesn't slip in, tried all sorts of shoes, NB More V5, NB 1080V13, Asics Gel-Cumulus 26, On Cloud Tilt, Nike Pegasus 41, Under Armour Infinite Pro, all of those had heel slip for me regardless of how tight i did them up or using runners knot. So far the best shoe I've found for heel hold for me is the Under Armour Turbulence 2, but they're not comfortable for longer walks at all, feel like walking on bricks after about an hour.
