@PinkPanther455183 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I was taught the same thing in my Church and in my Family. I've also learned all relationships, wether it be Family, Friends, or potential Partners, a relationship is a two way street. If you are not giving or providing something to the person you claim to care about it will fail. The same goes for the other way. If you provide and give everything to everyone around you in the relationship and they give nothing back, that's opening yourself to be taken advantaged and possibly abused. I also don't mean like money or material things, those are nice gestures of kindness and love. They are not what's important though in a healthy strong relationship. I'm talking about giving Love, Compassion, Understanding, giving you're Time, you're Affection, being Thoughtful of one another's pain and troubles. You have to be there and present for relationships to work.

I apologize if this is a really personal question. I just wanted to ask does Therapy actually work? Like did you actually feel a lot better after Therapy? I'm tryin to work on myself and what's wrong with me without involving another person in my personal struggles. I want to get better on my own. I just don't know if I can. There are some things I gotta figure out and do on my own for sure. Some of my struggles are definitely not going to be helped by a Therapist, it's just me wanting to want to get up and do it that will help some of my issues. I've got a lot of issues that have been there for years despite what I've tried to do to correct them. So should I seek Therapy? Or should I try to work on myself by myself first?
@rafaelvargas41133 жыл бұрын
@@PinkPanther45518 honestly its a tough question because its all up to ourselves when we want to seek it. My first therapist I stopped seeing him because I thought I wanted to do things and just move on with life. Second time I ended up back at the hospital one year later now I'd say it has helped. Especially when you can't really turn to you're friends when you're depressed it helped until I fully decided what I wanted to do. Friends aren't always there and some of them give shitty advice even if a therapist isnt always saying the right things and repeats it at least their there to talk how you feel every week. I'd say go for it, but it'll be hard at first cause I sure as well didn't want to do it for the first 3 - 4 months. But I thought about the future and how I want to be happy amd not put my bagage onto others. Taking therapt doesn't mean you can't heal yourself, but its a plus man I totally get where you're coming from and if you're asking questions on wether you should or shouldn't you're still in the right place because you are thinking about your mental health and what you want to do. Just thinking that way is a great start.

And I will always be his biggest supporter. After a long day at work he does not have to come home and lift a finger. Dinner is done kids are taken care of clothes are out bath water is ready and he is set for work the next day. I hope so, I also hope not. It's a struggle for a gal like me to find anyone interested. I don't have crazy expectations of guys. I am not beautiful, not at all, I'm very average. I think I'm a pretty nice, not perfectly nice women, I'm human so I know I'll screw up from time to time. I try to be thoughtful and caring to others, I like people, I really do. I just suffer from social anxiety, a lot more then I used to now because of the lockdown. I always tried to approach guys first. I really wanted to get into a relationship till I realized I come across as needy or desperate. So I put dating out of my mind for a long time. I genuinely just wanted to make friends for a while, wether they be female or male. I don't care what sex, I'll be friends with both, doesn't bother me.☺️💖 So I tried going for trying to work on be social by making good long lasting friendships work. I also want to patient and see what the Lord has in store for me. However as time goes in I'm getting more disheartened everyday that I may not find someone. I know I need to work on myself first before I try looking for a partner, that's for sure. I wouldn't want someone to be stuck with an overweight, highly anxious, nervous nelly of a women as a wife. So I'm going to start working on myself first to be what a man wants in their life. I'm just fearful it will take me a while and by the time I finish it will be too late.

I have never been in a relationship before in my entire young life. Not once. I had crushes but I squashed those pretty earlier on, I knew it wouldn't work out, especially since they already had someone or someone in mind. One person I had a crush on I thought I hid it from him really well since I could never see it work out or gong well for us. It was a crush I was waiting for to die off. I guess he noticed somehow. He used to be really nice to me and the other girls, I guess he noticed somehow that I had a crush on him. He started being really mean to me, he was no longer friendly or helpful. I kept my distance and stop conversing with him. I will still obviously kind to him, I wouldn't treat people badly even if they were unkind to me. It just hurt to see the sudden change. I thought I hid it very well, I never had any intentions seeking it out, It was just nice to have a someone else besides my best friend be kind to me. Let alone that person being a guy. It hurt a lot, it was the wake up call I needed, that I shouldn't show what I felt. It's better that way, I just make things awkward or worse I guess.

@@PinkPanther45518 The best advice I can give, to both men and woman is not to look for dates or use dating websites. It's just horrible for everyone involved. Try to meet people in more natural settings. Take hobbies you enjoy and try to join a social group that engages in that hobby. It's more casual and less stressful to meet people that way. You already share something in common and have things to talk about and share. You might not meet a partner, but I guarantee you'll make friends. I know it's hard to meet people, when you're a shy introvert. But, once you're a part of a group and established, you'll find it easier to socialize and let your real personality shine, which is what you want to do, to attract the right partner. Put yourself in a situation that lets you show the best parts of you and you'll attract the right people. We are most attractive when we are feeling comfortable and confidant.

I will show an interest, it’s up for them to reciprocate. I’m at the point in my life where no answer is the answer and I move on. I don’t chase. I don’t repeat myself. I make my interest known and they can come the rest of the way.

The reason you still get those depressed women is because you had it previously. Women are very intuitive and there is something about you that still has a remnant of that. So they think you will sympathize which you can, but that desire for sympathy also holds a demand for you to cure them of their depression. This you cannot do.

When I tell them that educational accomplishment though commendable, is not the qualifying factor in what a man desires. A woman being genuinely pleasant, kind, and motivating, means tons to a man.

Friends with Benefits is about having all the benefits of a relationship without the exclusivity and commitment of a relationship. 🤷 Simple. If you want a man to treat you like a "Queen" the. You need to treat him like a"King" . If you want to be treated a certain way, the. You need to treat them that same way. Because why TF would you dump money, time and energy into a black hole? Why would you pour everything into the garbage? A man shouldn't be expected to pour everything into an unending, bottomless pit. Take take take. Who would put up with that? I know these women sure wouldn't. Especially if she gets nothing back. So why TF would men? If all she does is take take take and give nothing in return, eventually he is going to get tired of wasting his time, energy, effort, money, and hope. But.... God forbid he asks her to make him a sandwich.

I've learned earlier on that all relationships are a two way street. You bring something to the one you care about and they bring something back to you. I am not talking about money or material it stuff. It's defentily a necessity and nice to have, but it's defentily not the most upmost important thing in any types of relationships you engage in. Wether it be Family, Friends, Girlfriends/Boyfriends, Wives/Husbands, there absolutely has to be something more in the relationship! More then materialistic, more then giving or gaining, more then feelings, there has to be something deeper something to stick around for. Who you are as a person and who you choose to be will decide who will stick around and for you, and who will abandon you the moment their is a struggle. Two way street relationship philosophy works and will continue doing so!👍

We do our daughters a disservice by teaching them that one of their most important jobs is their relationship w/ their partner. That's not a job. And it's not theirs to manage. If they grow up feeling their worth is only (or mostly) found in a relationship, then they take on men as "projects". Then women insure their relevance, importance through the accomplishment of "creating" this man and working so hard on the relationship.
@phedreBiOn2 жыл бұрын
I disagree. One of any person's most important job is their relationship with partner. Particularly with your wife or husband. That doesn't mean your job is to "create" your partner, because that's not what that entails to be in a relationship with your partner. You do have duties as a man and a woman. I think the disservice to girls is telling them they don't have a duty to their partner, their family and their household. Which entails some necessary sacrifice.

In my experience, the best way to start a relationship is hanging out. Not dating, hanging out. Get with them and figure out what they want to do, both sides. Then you learn what their likes and dislikes are, see where you mesh and where you repel. Sex can be explored, taught, learned, I'd say midway to girlfriend/boyfriend. Sex is an important aspect, but it's only one aspect of a relationship. You are going to spend far more time talking than you are fucking. If you can't get along, there's no good relationship there, but sexual preferences can be explored.
