This SEBI Order will lower NSE Trading Charges for Retail Traders

Last year, we did a video on how NSE and Stockbrokers have a revenue-sharing partnership on the NSE Transaction charges.
These charges are levied on retail traders across the segments. NSE shares a sizable percent, as much as 40%, of its revenue with Stockbrokers.
In fact, last year NSE shared as much as INR 500 to 1000 Crores with stockbrokers as per a report.
But Today, this setting stands to be cancelled.
SEBI has directed NSE to stop this partnership and revenue sharing with brokers.
NSE must levy true charges and take the whole amount from the broker from 1st October, 2024.
NSE has also been told to reduce these transaction charges for the benefit of retail traders.
However, there could be repercussions.
Brokers stand losing out the revenue part that they used to make with this partnership.
There is a possibility that discount or low brokerage brokers lose out on the revenue.

Everyone know what is the major cost of a trader is STT. Government should consider remove the STT because at the end, broker also want to earn profit. if transaction charges was removed that will receive from the NSE or BSE, they increase the broker to increase their pricing and at the end, retail trade also more suffer because they even pay higher GST in this situation. I think only the solution is to remove the government tax as possible as like, remove stamp duty, STT and other

government always messes up, doesn't really benefit but harm customers. same thing happened with dth. most people were using dth under 100 a month, and then government introduced new rule which increased to min 300 a month

Man this SEBI and FM of India have gone nuts. Is trading only the area where they want to concentrate. It's our taxed money and we should have all right to do whatever we want to do with it. We pay so much taxes and what these people are doing good with it. We still see substandard roads. Cost of education in metropolitan cities is high. Cost of hospitalization is high. Why don't they improve these areas which is essential for living. Instead spend all time and energy to not allow retailers to trade.

the main culprit is STT.. that has the biggest share in charges/taxes. it should be reduced. rest all charges are just too miniscule infront of it.

As SEBI chair has suggested F&O is becoming macro issue with 60000 cr of household savings being lost I would like to point out .. According to this logic she should float a proposal to ban all Competitions exams as For example in UPSC Around 10L Aspirant fill form 5L appear for exam For which lets assume they take coaching investing around 2L as fees So 5,00,000x2,00,000= 100,000,000,000 rs of household savings are “lost” as only 1000 candidate’s will be selected !! P.s i am not accounting for opportunity cost And cost of other exams (CAT,NEET,JEE,NET) & Others combined !!

STT fully khatam hona chahiye and Brokerage firm per bhi brokerage charges limit karna chahiye SEBI ko brokerage amount fix karna chahiye for broker firm I suggest for upto 5 to 10 lot no STT for any number of trading For stocks 500 to 1000 stocks quantity their should be no STT for any number of trade

I dont mind paying stt but no 30% tax, I dont mind my broker earns some money for survival but he should maintain his terminal, no delay rates and no technical glitches. As we traders even jobbing in options then too wait for 10-20 rs on rs100+ option premium. For retail problem is not stt , problem is margin rules, lot sizes etc. That stupid peak margin rules. Imp is no fraud by broker, insurance against broker failure. Market hours should be 23 hrs in sink with global market, Because of this only big player have main advantage as we are not allowed to trade gift nifty. As heard many benefits of taxation for gift nifty traders.

Broker toh apna brokerage badhaye, end consumer ko aadat pad chukki hai aur woh pay karega, Jaise sarkar har saal cigarette mei tax nahi badati lekin company har April 1 se rate bada deti hai yeh hi nahi har saal March ke mahine mei andha Paisa kamate hai stockiest aur retailers.
