I was 6 or 7 years old I dialed 911, and called the female dispatcher a "bitch", she said "what was that?" before I hung up, the police showed up at the house and my dad gave me the talk afterwards, I know no one asked but just to prove my point.

Chances are the guy wont get caught because if they had the balls to do it they most likely were smart enough to do it on a prepaid phone in a random location and fry the sim afterward. The only way they would beable to find the person is if they traced who purchased the prepaid phone and if they did it with cash and were wearing a mask(not out of the ordinary because of covid) they likely will never find the person.
