When Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama released there was an outrage claiming how an outsider ( Japanese director Yugo Sako) can articulate the character of Rama . But it was done brilliantly with the best possible potrail with intensive research. We should acknowledge that and bash these money laundering projects like adipurush

Krk once said long ago when tanhaji released, he said om raut doesn't know a bit of direction and this movie was directed by ajay himself. He said people will know the level of film making of om raut when his second film will be released. He was right now i think

According to me the first mistake they did is casting. Prabhas would suits much better as Ravan. Second you don't see the conviction neither from the director nor from the actors. In RRR you can see the conviction from the whole team. The few minutes of Ram Charan as Ram in RRR is much better than the entire Adipurush movie.

I can understand the agony Pratikji has felt after seeing the film Adipurush. Throughout the video, lumps were forming in his throat. Virtually, he was on the brink of crying in agony. Shame on the makers and actors that participated in the film making.

As a Muslim, I have seen Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan more than 10 times and have been deeply touched by the way Lord Rama touched the hearts of everyone, inspiring them to be a Maryada Purushottam person of utmost virtue. However, I must express my disappointment with Adipurush, which I watched in the cinema today. It felt like an injustice to the essence of Ramayan and Lord Ram.

As an Indian I expressed my disappointment with Adipurush, since I have watched Ramanand Sagar's (Ramayan -1987) multiple times and i felt Adipurush does not come near to the Original Ramayan.

It is an insult of the emotions we as Indians possess... The assumption that the makers make that an Indian Audience who has worshipped this timeless epic for thousands of years we eat up anything that has its name is an insult of the intellect as well as the 'Shraddha' we possess.. Calling it a modernized version of Ramayana is saying that the original epic by Adi Kavi Valmiki isn't poignant and relevant in this current world... The aesthetics mean something to every kid who has grown up watching a Raavan Dahan sitting on the shoulders of his dad, who painted himself blue to play Sri Ram in his school play... Not maintaining those aesthetics is a direct offense to the emotions mentioned above... For people saying this is for kids are wrong... Kids are not this stupid... I used to watch Yugo Sako's Ramayana as a kid and I used to know back then what is right and what is wrong... Kids these day know it tooo

Without devotion there is no emotion, and without emotion there is no creation. Thus unless a person has reached a certain level of spiritual maturity, he cannot create anything like Ramayana. Without devine order you can't produce this epic. The movie Adipurash is perfect example of greed and exploitation. I may be repulsive towards his political ideology but I do feel his anger and betrayal. I grew up watching the legend of prince Rama and all the epic tales told by my uncles. Adipurush was a cash grab by the makers, they had no conviction to Ramayan. All the money they spent on marketing could have been used for a better screenplay and visual effects. Maybe he is right that they did it on purpose and public audience will give response they deserve.

Ramayan 3392 AD is a graphic novel trilogy published by Westland. It is about Ramayan set in a futuristic earth. Om Raut clearly tried to draw from it and blend it with the classic Amar Chitra Katha aesthetic. And in doing so, he failed royally. 1- Did they know they were clashing with The Flash? Is that why they made Indrajeet operate like a tattooed Quicksilver? 2- Was Lakshman's conversation with Hanuman in his introductory scene stolen from Sajid Khan's jokebook? 3- Why did Sonal Chauhan drop off from 2008's Jannat directly into 2023's Lanka? 4- Did the bat-beast that Saif rides fly in from the sets of 2003's Jajantaram Mamantaram? 5- Who on Earth was the masked fellow with a sceptre in that amazing introductory scene? 6- Why was Saif walking like a character from GTA Vice City? 7- Did he forget that it was a veena he ought to be playing and not his usual electric guitar? 8- Why was Shoorpankha sipping red wine from a black bottle in a grey Lanka? 9- I had lost a few Big Babol tattoos in my childhood. Will the bald Mareech apologise for stealing them? 10- Why did Prabhas' hair in the flashback scene looked dyed with Vasmol Kesh Kala? I'm just trying to evade my anger with humour. The sad part is, with whatever poison it will be cooked, Nitesh Tiwary's trilogy will smell and taste better. The high-brow elites of intellectual Bollywood will conveniently trash the Indic wing, because they will have this meme-worthy film as a target point.

This movie is to Ramayan what MSheU is for Marvel lore. Seriously man Amish Tripathi's Ram Chandra Series is proving to be great detox. Decided to revisit it, and it turned out to be a great decision. You should definitely check it out too if you haven't already. It's another great iteration of Ramayan apart from the 1992 anime. Hopefully well get a faithful movie adaption of Amish's books soon.

And yes, the comparison with the MSheU is perfect. Only thing is, Marvel can still bounce back if they learn from their mistakes. But Adipurush, is a one-time misfire, it will be remembered in solo. Remembered with shame, on the lines of Ram Gopal Verma's Aag (2007).

The keyword is "intentionally". Because their only job was the music, casting and VFX. The screenplay and dialogues could have been taken from earlier creations like "The legends of Prince Ram". I can understand your pain because you and I were overjoyed when this film was announced.But when the teaser came everything changed..I cried for two days because my favorite hero Prabhas and Tanhaji's director Om Raut was there .He also win the national award.I am sure that this movie has been spoiled intentionally. Personally, I think bollywood often makes it a point to magnify the 'devotee aspect' of the egoistic villian on a larger than life scale and doesn't show/ reduces the 'devotee aspect' of the positive hero. Many a times, in the movie, references are being made that Raavan was a Shiv bhakt, which is true. But my point is, the movie makers should also highligght that the hero, here Ram ji was also a huge devotee and had done many enormous tapasyas and anusthans whole life and especially before the war with raavan. A few examples which come to mind are, Ramji worshipped goddess Durga, rishi Augustya etc. So in this way, movie makers selectively highlight one fact and suppress the other facts in the name of creative liberty and other excuses.

Shri Ram ji was bhakt of Shiva as well.. If you roam around india where ever it is said that Shri Ram jo went, you will see he had installed Shiva lingas and used to perform daily pooja. Also before crossing sea, before the war, during and after the war, he performed Shiv pooja. And yes, Ravan was also great Shiv Bhakt however, difference is that Ravan was arrogant, whereas humility was personification of Shri Ram ji. And yes, Lord Shiva himself was Bhakt of Ram ji, as he himself told to Parvati on more than one occassion that he meditates on lord Ram

Actually the runtime of this movie is so absurd, after 3 hrs of this torture, there’s no take-away- one merely gets to know the story of ramayan. in my opinion, the legend of prince rama and a movie ‘hanuman’ (the movie with song akdam bakdam jaadu ki kigdam) justified it’s runtime and we actually get to see a comprehensive story.
