Thanks for the info! I always find it fascinating how much knowledge concerning communication and use if language we internalize. You were entirely right, that sounded wrong, but I had no hard rule in my conscious mind the incorrectly ordered adjectives were breaking. Instead, I just determined it "by ear," which is a curious concept.

Think about it: in college, you have class for maybe 15 hours a week for four years and you get a degree. We listen to people around us talking like 15 hours A DAY. For our whole lives! So, yeah! We're incredible experts, and we've learned SO MUCH that we don't even realize how much we've learned.
