Hello sir 👋 I use a Flip line (10 feet) .. and i also use my DDRT rope system as backup .. this looks even better .. by using this .. i do not need my flip line anymore .. is this correct ✅

You shoud still always have your flip line for ascending a tree and so that you can secure yourself redundantly when it comes time to install or uninstall your friction saver based system. Or at least have a lanyard. You always need some kind of redundancy! Thanks for your positive comment! Check out this video if you're interested in learning about different spar anchors... kzbin.info/www/bejne/lai3aKqda7SXqtk

I just ordered one, hate spiking back down a tree. I just don’t trust the petzl eject or the ART version.

Awesome! It's always exciting to try new techniques! Here is my latest video all aout the many different ways you can anchor yourself to a spar, with the method involving an adjustable friction saver at the very end. Using a spar anchor, you will be able to descend to the ground in case of an emergency or if you simply wish to end your climb and then pull the friction saver out using your rope. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lai3aKqda7SXqtk

What size are the rings? What are the rings made of?😊
@Knot-orious Жыл бұрын
The friction saver in the video is a NOTCH 7’ IVY FRICTION SAVER W/ WEAR SAFE™ RINGS made by Rope Logic. The ring sizes (I had to measure them by hand since the website doesn't say) are... Big ring: ID 50mm, OD 70mm Little ring: ID 30mm, OD 50mm They are steel. Here is a link to the product's page... notchequipment.com/rope-logics-poison-hivy-friction-saver/ I hope this was helpful. If you have any additional questions, I'd be happy to do my best to answer them! Thank you for commenting!

I wasn't making any arguments. I was sharing a technique for climbing. Outdated or not, there are still people who may find this interesting or helpful and that's why I made a video about it, homie.
