Adjustable Height Heavy Duty Workstation US GENERAL Harbor Freight

I struggle through putting together this tool stand from Harbor Freight. The reviews warn of the difficulties encountered during assembly and they are right.
But, I bought another one and discovered a hack that make the assembly a cinch. I will have that video uploaded in a week or so.
I know that some of my close up scenes are not in the shot. I am still learning the angles as well how to get the best scenes.

Question: Why the wood block between the metal stand and the piece of equipment?

The base of the tool does not fit the stand so the wood is to provide an attachment point for both. I have done this on many of my tool stands.

Hey bud. I'm thinking about getting this for my 3d printer. Does it have any wobble to it? Also, could you get me the actual top dimensions? i know it has a built in ruler, but it extends past that.
