Thanks for this. I'm considering these primarily for the sunglass option, but this was still helpful for choosing any additional tops, and knowing what to expect. I was already considering sticking with the thin options, but there's an orange thick top I'm loving, so I might need to adjust them. Based on this, I'd probably choose to dip the tops into hot water and clip them to the frames right after, using the frame as the guide for any needed adjustments.

Thank you!!! For some reason using a hair dryer didn't pop into my brain and I was trying to think of so many ways to heat them 😄

Pro Tip: when you lay the glasses to see where they need to be adjusted @8:30 , you should flip them over, adjust so that there is no movement from the top of the frame. The reason we don’t adjust based on the temples is because most people’s ears are not even

Thx for posting, but you got to admit, pretty lame that they arrive bent. I just got into Pair and frustrated with the covers not staying on. $25 and $30 a cover. They should arrive perfect. Right? Again, though, thanks...

I completely agree - VERY lame. I ended up abandoning the glasses/brand altogether. The fact that I had to constantly readjust the tops and even then they didn’t sit flush - I felt silly. I felt like I looked like I had construction paper slapped onto my glasses and that I looked goofy. Kissing someone and bumping the glasses and them making a large SNAP sound as the magnets reconnected was embarrassing enough for me to give up. I still follow the groups on Facebook because the concept is fun but I have more fun paying $40 for a whole new pair of frames from places like Zenni.

Great video! How’s does this happen? From shipping?

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I think it’s just how they manufacture them. They should be bent a little, but not nearly that much. I think when things are massed produced, there’s a potential to get warped. I’m just surprised that whoever packages it up doesn’t notice or have some sort of quality inspection first...

This seems like a lot of work are buying these glasses worth it? I normally do "eye buy direct" Thank you!

@@Mrsh3n1 ehhh they are fun but they are a bit of maintenance. Sometimes I feel silly in the tops and if they get bumped and fall off, it embarrasses me. But they are fun sometimes. I love Eye Buy Direct!

Most prescription glasses I've received were also rounded in the middle like that, and I've had to stretch them out a bit to keep them from squeezing my face.

I was wondering, have you ever had to take out the lenses from the frames? is it possible to do?

Kind of ridiculous we have to do this pair need to step it up on the design.

I think I would be a bit pissed off if the topers came like that. They should fit on your frams perfectly. They are not cheap for what they are.
@velvetburn Жыл бұрын
All of the tops I ever bought came like that. That’s why I ended up selling everything and moving away from Pair altogether. Nothing I bought would lay flat and I felt stupid walking around with ill fitting plastic slapped onto my frames. It’s a shame because I loved the concept.

O wow, that's not good . Thanks for your reply back. I will be getting mine soon. If they don't fit I will be sending them back
