SAME My radio/monitor went dark as I was driving I thought/hope I hit a button accidentally. I'm gong to try this when I get back to my car I sure hope this takes care of it and Im not looking at some kind of repair

I just notice the blue dashboard lightning in my new 2021 camry xse looks very dim even when increasing the brightness to maximum, compare to the 2018 camry I had before, those blue lights were more bright

Thank you for the video. Perfect. When I initially went to Display, I had only the Screen Off choice. Day Mode was not there. With your demonstration, I was able to change the Theme settings which for whatever reason suddenly brought up the Day Mode option, which now appears in all the Themes. Result: it is now easy to adjust the brightness and change the background to dark or night mode. Your videos make the complex Owner’s Manual simple and understandable. Thanks again! Toyota needs to give some very serious consideration to rewriting their manual. It must have been written by a bunch of lawyers!

One of the reasons I do what I do is to make the complex as easy as possible. Tech is so advanced in all vehicles now that it sometimes surpasses even people who consider themselves as tech savvy. When you have an average person trying to understand the complex it can seem daunting and the manuals are wrote by people who understand the features completely.

@@stevenwelchtoyota Frequently I find these manuals are not function oriented. Several times I have looked-up how to do something, often not finding it in the index. Then I have to think “How would they list that?” Then, maybe, I come up with a page number, go to it to find, “refer to page xxx.” Go to page xxx to find “Refer to page you”. And so on. Several times I’ve gone through 5 or 6 “referrals” in a row and still not end up with an answer. Dark or night mode for the screen was one of them. I wish your dealership was closer to us than 900 miles. Again, a huge Thank You!

What about the buttons under the screen (eg. defrost)? At night, you cannot see them at all unless they are on. Is there background lights for these buttons to be able to see them at night?

Omg! I just figured it out! When the lights are on, the day mode appears and is off, but when the head lights are off, it’s not visible.

Weird I have a 2020 Highlander L, and non of these are on its Radio Display. I'm stuck. Please help me. Also my rear winshield wiper washer doesn't turn on. How To? I tried the stick all the way and still nothing. Also the vent behind me for 2nd row for driver side doesn't work for heater or AC. It heats up my whole passenger driver side door. 😒 yes I got the car pre-owned 2 months ago.

I have driven it for more than 45,000 miles. Only until watching your video have I discovered the way to adjust the screen. I discovered how to use Google Map through Apple Carplay on the screen only in the past month. Before that, I had been looking at my phone mounted on car's windshield for Google Map.
